In partnership with The Human Architecture and Planning Institute - theHAPI.org we had the pleasure of sharing the Flower Walk project at the 13th Annual Street Talks at the Old South Meeting House in Boston, hosted by LIVABLE STREETS TRANSPORTATION ALLIANCE OF BOSTON INC. Public transit spaces tend to be displeasing to the eye, overlooked, and under-stimulating for commuters. We see these spaces as an opportunity for change with the challenge of fostering joy while measuring the impact of creative transformations. With the use of iMotions technology, commonly used in the automotive industry, we were able to track how the Flower walk design impacts commuters through eye-tracking data. Using this technology at every stage of the process informed us in finalizing the best outcome. Before the Flower Walk intervention in City of Chelsea, MA the bus stop was overlooked, now it is non-consciously bringing a joyful focus to the commuter experience. Why should we settle when measuring the commuter experience? By designing for joy we are creating more exciting and inclusive community engagement. https://lnkd.in/eJ9hn6tY

Sometimes outside partners don't understand museums at all... ... and sometimes their new ideas are a great fit! Give it a try. Continuing our deep dive on temporary exhibits - did you know you might strike gold by collaborating with community partners too? 🤝 One great example is when COSI - Center of Science and Industry worked with the local Model Railroad Society to create a festive holiday display. 🎅🚂 With some strategic lighting and staging, they transformed the space into an immersive winter wonderland experience. Kids were mesmerized watching the model trains chug around the tracks! The best part? This was a very low design exhibit - the Railroad Society handled all the setup, maintenance, and takedown. COSI provided the space, a bit of lighting, probably some cute train crossing barriers, and advertising! Some other ideas for community collaborations: • Partner with a vet's office to prototype an interactive animal hospital exhibit • Host an art show featuring works from local artisans and makers • Set up an interactive musical instrument display with instruments donated from local music shops Tapping into outside expertise and resources makes your transitional spaces even more dynamic. Plus, it's a win-win - you get fresh content, and your collaborators gain visibility. What creative community tie-ins have you explored? Can't wait to hear your ideas! 💡 See all the posts from this series... 1 - Multi-purpose Structures https://lnkd.in/eaFJaVsc 2 - Loose Parts https://lnkd.in/e7NDC_v9 3 - Partnerships https://lnkd.in/ehb5n5v7 4 - Seasonal Exhibits https://lnkd.in/e98RA6GP #ChildrensMuseums #CommunityPartnerships #TempExhibits #HolidayDisplays #InspiredImpact

The Transformative Power of Public Art: A Canvas for Business and Collectors. In recent years, public art has emerged as a dynamic way to infuse creativity into communities, stepping beyond traditional art venues like galleries and museums. These installations not only add aesthetic value to public spaces but also offer a distinctive and engaging experience for businesses and art collectors alike. Public art can significantly impact the atmosphere of a business environment, turning it into a focal point within the community. Imagine a striking mural or sculpture on the exterior of your office or storefront, instantly capturing attention and contributing to positive branding and community engagement. Embracing public art can elevate a business's visual appeal while creating lasting and memorable associations with its brand. For art collectors, public art presents an accessible platform to share their passion with a broader audience. Supporting large-scale installations allows collectors to actively contribute to the cultural enrichment of their community while showcasing their collection to diverse audiences. The collaborative nature of public art also fosters connections between businesses and local artists, promoting a sense of community and supporting the wealth of creative talent in the vicinity. Moreover, the presence of public art has the potential to draw foot traffic and cultivate a sense of community. Events centered around art installations become local gatherings, celebrating creativity and driving opportunities for nearby businesses. This interplay between art and commerce creates a mutually beneficial scenario, boosting the local economy while providing exposure for artists. As we recognize the transformative power of art in public spaces, what role do you see art playing in the cultural richness and vibrancy in your community or business? #publicartscene #stalbertcreatives #farmersmarketart #localartistfeature #redbikesculpture #artisticthrowback #communityexpressions #stalbertgazetteart #localrecognition #nostalgicvibes #publicartlove #tbtartistry

That moment when you finally find some time to start putting together some of your projects from the past few years. 🎉 This story might sound super familiar to all my designers out here struggling with their personal portfolio/ presentations/ work – which seems a forever work in progress kind of job tbd. 😅 I came to the conclusion that to me, for the moment, it's best to start displaying a selection of projects, even if I got bored of seeing or organising them in the last copule of weeks. I also know that I will never be totally happy with the result, but trying to make it perfect and constantly changing platforms and layouts just brought me to the point of a bad time investing with no practical results. So here we are! 🏁 What do you think of the selection I made? Do you often struggle with the same issue? #portfolio #graphicdesign

Owner: At our core, we are artists and storytellers. We are brand experts who care about place and people and help them to tell their story through the marketing communications we create for them.
WHAT MAKES ATLANTA SO DAMN ARTISTIC? As of 2021, 52% of Atlanta’s population is African American, and that identity crucially informs Atlantan art. Add to that a combination of rich cultural heritage, a vibrant arts scene with many nationally acclaimed art institutions. Then throw in a vast diversity of artistic expression across all forms of art and you get a true hotbed. There's a lot of creativity in Atlanta, and appropriately, the 2024 Creative Placemaking Communities summit was held there this week. Atlanta is a CREATIVE PLACEMAKING demonstration in itself. _________ Torque Real Estate Marketing TORQUE is a real estate marketing agency bringing insight and awareness to the emergence of human experience, properties and the community. #atantarealestate #office #commercialrealestate #architecture #realestate #realestateindustry #marketingagency #realestatemarketing #marketingagency

How can we imagine and create more human urban futures? It starts with us. With understanding how we, as humans, experience the places we live in. How do changes in the public square next door affect how a retired 70 year old woman makes her way to the market? How does a child, who recently moved in the city, experience the arrival of a new type of shared bikes? How will the users of one specific park feel about the installation of an arts pavilion in it, and how should the pavilion look to best fit their needs? Understanding how people interact within their habitats is what we call Citizen Experience. Curious to know more about this service? Head to our website: https://lnkd.in/emcKspCB
