Adams' New Hampshire Job Corps Center welcomed Ted Trippi, Special Assistant for Policy & Projects of U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, to the campus last week! Mr. Trippi interacted with staff and students as he toured the Center. Leadership students Frederick Anti, Shamier Nesbeth, and Omarie Fuller led the tour and spoke about their Job Corps journey. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the High School Diploma Class and hearing Omarie explain the bright and colorful poster boards full of years of High School Diploma Graduates. Omarie's name was the most recent one to be added. Adams is beyond grateful for the Senator’s continued support of the New Hampshire Center and Job Corps. We especially appreciate Mr. Trippi taking the time to visit while he was in the area. #jobcorps #careersbeginhere #workforcetraining #newhampshire

It has been 10 years since Commonwise was founded and I still love the opportunity to share our story directly with older adults. It is not only energizing, but I learn (and relearn) so many lessons in this type of setting. For example: Bring Good Energy: It's remarkable how much the energy we bring elevates the quality of conversations we have with families. Connection Over Content: While the content is essential, establishing a connection with the audience is equally (if not more) vital. It's about being relatable and human first, and an expert second. The Importance of Simplicity: Health topics can be complex, but breaking them down into easily digestible parts is crucial. Day 1 Thinking: After 10 years, I am sometimes guilty of thinking I know everything and everyone, and that mindset is always proven wrong when I put myself out there. Today was no exception - learned so much from fellow presenters, the innovative services and products on display, and the shared personal experiences of attendees.
