🌊 Celebrating Success: Empowering Students Through Water Conservation Education 💧 I am thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you! Just a few days ago, we discussed the orientation of our Jal Sampada O' Sanrakhyana Project. Today, I am proud to announce that we have successfully completed this project under #PBL (Project-Based Learning) across 50 schools in four blocks of Kandhamal, Odisha: Khajuripada, Phiringia, Tikabali, and Phulbani. The project was meticulously designed with six key phases, keeping the students' learning outcomes at the forefront: 1. Introduction and Problem Identification💧: Students were educated about the importance of water in our lives and the ways to prevent water contamination. 2. Research and Understanding 🔍: Based on NITI Aayog's data showing that 600 million people in India are affected by water scarcity, students delved into the issues surrounding water conservation and explored solutions to ensure clean water for future generations. 3. Community Engagement and Resource Collection 👨👩👧👦: Students conducted field visits to nearby water-polluted areas to understand the causes of water wastage. They also engaged with local communities to discuss potential solutions. 4. Planning and Preparation 💭: Taking the initiative, students created small models focused on water conservation. They also raised awareness in their communities through street plays and rallies. 5. Implementation of Water Management Initiatives 🚰: Students developed models such as water harvesting systems and purifiers, and some schools even implemented rainwater harvesting for kitchen gardens. 6. Reflection and Outcomes✨: Students learned about preventing water wastage, reusing contaminated water, and the broader importance of water conservation. Through this Water Resources and Conservation Project, students developed various skills, including leadership, communication, teamwork, and creative thinking. These are essential 21st-century skills that will serve them well in the future. One of the remarkable achievements of the High Impact Mega Watershed Project in Chhattisgarh is creating an opportunity to harvest 7000 crore litres of water in the catchment of 6.94 lakh hectares of land. At the cost of only 0.11 INR per litre for water harvested, the project provides irrigation water assurance in the area, benefiting farmers in their agricultural endeavours. The construction of essential watershed structures further exemplifies the project's tangible impact. This includes 3 earthen dams, 28 percolation tanks, 42 check dams/stop dams, 1229 Farm Ponds and 4 community ponds, each contributing to efficient water harvesting, soil conservation, and improved agricultural practices. #sustainablelivelihoods #sustainabledevelopment #sustainability

Walchand Plus recently partnered with an IT giant and the Bahubali Gulabchand Foundation to upskill 1,900 underserved youth. This CSR initiative focused on Delhi NCR, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, addressing a critical need for vocational training in these regions. 💚 TATA MOTORS!! 💚 In the heart of Maharashtra’s tribal interiors, Tata Motors has embarked on a transformative mission —the One Million Plantation initiative. This ambitious project aims to sow saplings of hope for local communities in the Palghar district. To date 1.5 million fruit and forest saplings have taken root, covering 13,000 acres across eight blocks, breathing life into once-barren land. As part of the Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP), Tata Motors’ initiative not only curbs distress migration but also generates income for local communities by providing sustainable income; leveraging MNREGs scheme for sapling aftercare, and later through the produce sales. So far, more than 1.5 Million Plantation has benefitted 13,000 farmers in the region by transforming 13,000 acres of un-utilised farmland into a productive Wadi. It has also provided them nutrition-rich fruits, thus improving health and nutrition levels of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in the region. In this collaborative model Tata Motors supports the sapling cost, technical support and trainings are provided by the BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihoods and Development (BISLD) and a significant part of the project cost is funded by the government via the MNREGs as wage for aftercare of the saplings. The wages are directly transferred to the farmer’s account, which depends on the survival rate of the saplings.

Reliance Model Economic Township and Reliance Foundation celebrated World Environment Day by organising a tree plantation drive in the village of Kaloi. The initiative involved active participation from the local community. Villagers and Reliance team members came together to plant a total of 151 saplings along the boundary of Khandra Pond in the village and on the premises of the Reliance office. The tree plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic involvement from the former village head (Sarpanch) Jai Singh, Dariyav Singh, other members of the village council (Panchayat), and fellow villagers. They appreciated Reliance's efforts towards environmental conservation and lauded this initiative. This tree plantation drive marks the beginning of a larger endeavour planned by Reliance Foundation and Reliance Model Economic Township. During the upcoming rainy season, they aim to plant approximately 5,000 trees across various villages and social areas like schools, stadiums, and other public spaces. This large-scale tree plantation effort will not only increase the green cover in the region but also hold several positive implications for the environment as a whole! To save the world Participants – AVMA students class 4 to 12 Event - The true meaning of our life is to plant trees, under whose shade we sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. With this inspiring thought, Science teachers at Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad, made the students aware and connected to the green world of the school by conducting” Tree walk” for all classes 4 to 12 on various days of this month. The students were made aware of different types of trees, shrubs, climbers, creepers, flowers and fruits in the garden. They came to know about scientific and botanical names of different plants along with their uses. Teachers also informed about the flowering seasons of various plants along with uses of medicinal plants like Neem, Tulsi etc. It was very informative and enriching activity as this helped them to understand the importance of trees in our life. SDGs- SDGs focused were SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Climate Action, SDG 15 – Life on Land Learning Outcome - Students took the responsibility to take care of school plants and save trees and the environment from pollution. They took pledge to protect the Mother Earth and the greenery.
