A powertrain developed by EFT Mobility breaks world-record!!!
In a collaboration with Griff Aviation, EFT Mobility developed a #powertrain for the Griff G60 Tether. The G60 Tether is a #HeavyLiftUAV platform with an astonishing #MTOW (maximum take-off weight) of 150kg, a #PayloadCapacity of 60kg and a #AltitudeCapability of 100m. The unique part about the system is that the UAV is attached to a cable that allows to supply the required power from the ground, enabling theoretically #UnlimitedFlightTime.
The platform offers a unique advantage in scenarios where a bird’s-eye perspective is essential for comprehensive #DataCollection and analysis, such as #surveillance, #SearchAndRescue missions, #CommunicationRelay, and #EnvironmentalMonitoring.

UAVs are useless if they can’t be deployed to where they’re needed.
Road transportability is critically important for any civilian unmanned aircraft.
If you have to reassemble your aircraft every time you want to fly or if you aircraft can’t be deployed by a couple of people without specialized shop equipment — then your UAV probably isn’t going to work in real operational environments.
The R550 is the highest payload aircraft you can move easily on US roads without disassembly. It means that no other UAV is going to be able to beat it in performance and ease-of-operation.

Czech UAV manufacturer Primoco UAV SE has moved significantly closer to completing certification under the internationally applicable NATO STANAG 4703 standard. A series of tests at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering of the Czech Technical University were successfully completed, proving the mechanical parameters of the aircraft and its structural operational safety. This is a world first for an unmanned machine. So far, only manned aircraft have been subjected to full-scale testing.
“Although the airframe of the One 150M has undergone only a few minor modifications compared to the original design, tests have shown that it achieves even greater durability compared to manned aviation designs,” says Ladislav Semetkovskyý, CEO of Primoco UAV.
Structural tests are one of the most important areas of aircraft type certification, consisting of hundreds of different tests. Similarly important was the engine performance testing that the One 150M successfully underwent at the end of last year.

The Munich Security Conference is in full swing. And one thing for sure is on the defense agenda: #drones.
Due to the urgency that prevails on the battlefield, the traditional top-down model of military innovation is giving way to a more dynamic bottom-up approach. Development cycles in Ukraine are currently 8 weeks, compared to the years it takes the traditional #defense industry.
At #MSC2024, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, stated that drones and Ukraine’s Army of Drones project have become the biggest gamechanger in the tech war. This year they plan to deploy one million FPV drones with the help of private companies. The next step is electronic warfare and robotics. His key message: Ukraine is the best testing ground for innovation in any area.
Matthias Lehna, from our portfolio company Quantum-Systems, recently visited the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone training centre. He found that knowledge transfer is key to increasing the impact of resilience technology.

Imagine a scenario where a submarine remains hidden in the ocean depths, and through an advanced launch system, it deploys a drone that ascends to the surface. From there, the drone could fly toward its target, conducting reconnaissance or strike missions, before returning to the submarine and submerging again. This ability to launch and recover underwater not only offers an additional level of stealth and surprise but also allows operations in coastal zones without detection by the enemy.
These innovations in drone technology represent a significant shift in how military operations are conducted, providing commanders with #unprecedented#flexibility and reach. As technology continues to advance, we are likely to see even more developments that will redefine #tactics and #strategies on the #battlefield.
