Came across this photo in my gallery, triggering memories of the event that gave rise to it. I was actively part of the team organizing the inaugural Ife Great Debate in collaboration with GAVEL CLUB OAU, commemorating OAU's 60th anniversary. During one of our debate sessions, as the cameras rolled and live streaming commenced for our online audience, the event anchor was nowhere to be found. We were confronted with potential chaos and we couldn't let this happen. I stepped in, unintentionally becoming the MC. It was challenging, yet I managed to navigate it adeptly, and this moment left me with valuable insights I will like to share. 1. Embrace the Unexpected: Life is full of surprises, and this event reinforced the need to embrace the unexpected. What initially seemed like a setback turned into an opportunity for personal growth and resilience. 2. Leadership Emerges in Unexpected Places: This experience highlighted that leadership can emerge unexpectedly. Sometimes, stepping up in challenging situations reveals leadership qualities within us that we may not have recognized before. 3. Adaptability is Key: The unforeseen absence of the event anchor taught me the importance of being adaptable. In moments of crisis, the ability to think on your feet can make all the difference. Lastly, we often discover our untapped capabilities when pushed to the brink.

For June‘s Journey‘s 6th anniversary we threw a 1920‘s party in Berlin and invited our players! It was a special night out with costumes, food and entertainment. The real magic happened in the interaction between Wooga‘s and players. The energy was contagious, and me myself got a chance to hear more about the lives of our players on a personal level. We've made a decision. It involved some heartbreak and letting go, but it ultimately led us to a choice that allowed us to breathe more freely, so to speak. You might be wondering about the matter at hand and the decision we've made. Initially, we had planned to organize a HYBRID Obeya Summit this year. However, our primary goal is to provide added value to our community. Embracing a hybrid approach would mean diverting our focus in many directions, potentially causing us to lose sight of our primary objective. It somehow made things tense and complicated. Therefore, we made the decision to separate the online Obeya Summit from the live version. It's a straightforward split, one that we believe will help us create more space and opportunity for new knowledge, tools, techniques, and perspectives to come together and exchange with you and the rest of our community. This decision-making process reminded us once again of how tough it can be, often filled with sighs, worries, and procrastination. But the more we delve into every layer of the decision-making process and the better we honor the process itself, the easier it becomes to reach a decision that resonates with the core of what we truly want and believe in.
