FAQ: How is The Preserver™ maintained? The sump manholes into which The Preserver™ is installed are typically cleaned of collected pollutants once per year using a vacuum truck. During this time, the overall condition of The Preserver’s components should be checked and any debris which may have collected on the Energy Dissipator or skimmer should be removed. This process is typically performed quickly, easily, and at a low cost. Maintenance offsetting is the primary benefit of The Preserver™, a benefit that pays for itself. This benefit can be realized almost anywhere but is most evident when used upstream of stormwater BMPs that involve specialized disposal or restoration. #thepreserver #stormwatermanagement #stormwater #momentumenvironmental #civilengineering

According to the EPA, when we soak up the rain we help get water into the ground. This helps to keep our streams and rivers flowing and replenish the groundwater we rely on for drinking water and other uses. By reducing the rush of stormwater flowing downstream we’re also helping to reduce soil and stream bank erosion. The PaveDrain system would help get water into the ground. #permeablepaving #greeninfrastructure #stormwater #civilengineering #pavedrain

Product Manager - Stormwater Management and Erosion Sediment Control - at Terrafix® Geosynthetics Inc.
More frequent major rainfall events are a constant reminder of the importance of stormwater management. Recognizing that new developments can potentially introduce more surface runoff, immediate solutions are essential to mitigate flooding in our communities. Techniques such as permeable pavement and subsurface stormwater systems, like the HydroChain System shown in this before & after photo, play a vital role. This system, installed in a new residential development, stores runoff on-site, allowing much of it to infiltrate back into the ground while releasing the remaining volume at a controlled rate into the municipal grid. Simple low cost solutions to “ Slow water cycle”……. Few has dry land dedicated to store precious water…. Multiple small sized , low risk , reservoirs can change the color of the landscape…….. I would leave liner less in the bottom for allowing infiltration…….

We approach claims with a creative mindset, delving deep into reenactments for better insights. Recently, we encountered an intriguing challenge during a site restoration drying issue project. Despite passing stormwater tests, issues arose during mild soakage testing. The gradient on the crusher dust base towards the dwelling wall resulted in severe water pooling. Watch the video to witness the challenge firsthand. #thinkoutsidethebox #PropertyRestoration
