#Humor #Military #Navy “BUSINESSMEN” IN UNIFORM Spoof By Vikram Karve _____ Military Officers are often stereotyped into quintessential archetypes — some of which are portrayed in Books, Movies, Cartoons etc. For example — you must be aware of the legendary “Colonel Blimp” and “Captain Haddock” etc. But — when you join the Defence Services — the Military Armed Forces — the Army — the Navy — or — the Air Force — you realize that there are all sorts of Officers with different personalities. Among Defence Officers — there are many unique and eccentric characters — each with his own idiosyncrasy. This is especially so in the Navy — since — Naval Officers are a cut above the rest. An interesting category I discovered were “Businessmen” in Uniform . Let me tell you a few stories about hilarious encounters I had with “Businessmen” in Uniform during my Navy Days. ______ “BUSINESSMEN” IN UNIFORM 👇 https://lnkd.in/daBiZGbb 👇

Mediation in Movies! Few days ago as i was watching "A few Good Men", i was surprised by Demi Moore's role. In this 1992 blockbuster, Demi Moore's portrayed the role of the Lieutenant Commander JoAnne Galloway, her role highlighted the crucial role of #mediation in legal proceedings. While Tom Cruise leads the defense, Moore's character served as a mediator within the team, ensuring #fairness and #thoroughness. Galloway acted as a #bridge between the defense and the military, navigating obstacles to uncover the truth. Her persistence in gathering evidence and #mediating #conflicts within the team exemplifies the importance of #preparation and #collaboration in mediation. Demi Moore's portrayal of Galloway reminded me of the essential qualities of an effective mediator: #dedication, #strategicthinking, and #integrity. Her character inspires every person watching the movie- whether or not he or she is a mediator- to always approach conflict resolution with #empathy and commitment to #fairness. As i got the chance to reflect on Galloway's role, I realised once again the significant benefits of mediation, including its ability to foster #understanding, #preserve #relationships, and achieve #mutually #acceptable #solutions, ultimately paving the way for a more #just and #harmonious society. #Mediation #conflictsresolution #movies #DemiMoore #empathy #fairness #harmony #understanding

Faithfulness and responsibility apply to all areas of business. It is not the importance of what you are doing sometimes, but just the fact that someone has to do it . https://lnkd.in/eCF__ijG

Commitment to doing my duty to the best of my ability Oaths are incredibly important historically because they bind us to commit to something greater than ourselves. In the case of our President, they are committing to faithfully execute the duties of the office they are about to enter while preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States. They are accountable to ‘we the people’ and before God - it is a commitment not to be taken lightly! I saw this quote from remarks made by President Biden to a military audience this past week: “Our commitment to honor, to integrity, to unity, to protecting and defending not a person or a party or a place, but an idea. That’s the idea that generations of service members have fought for, an idea you have sworn an oath to defend as a nation. …we’ve never, ever, ever walked away from it. Our country is counting on you to ensure that that will always be true.” - President Joseph Biden He is referring to the oath that every member of the military takes - a slightly different one for commissioned officers vs enlisted personnel - but everyone takes an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. There will be a lot of pomp and circumstance tomorrow in Washington DC. Earlier this week I met with one of the Cadets who is traveling to DC along with about 100 of her friends to march in the inaugural parade. There will be inaugural balls, parade, speeches, and choirs…. The purpose of all this is one relatively short moment. The person assuming the position of President of the United States and Commander in Chief will take an oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God.” Everything else is secondary to taking this oath of office and committing to the people of the United States to faithfully execute the office while preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States. This oath is taken publicly - usually on the steps of the Capital. As I understand it, due to extremes weather expected tomorrow it will be done inside the Capital. On a few occasions it has been taken in small groups primarily due to the death or murder of a previous president, but it is a publicly witnessed event on purpose. Our President is accountable to the PEOPLE of the United States to discharge the duties of the office to the very best of his (or her) ability. "If a man or woman hasn’t found something in life they’re willing to die for, then perhaps they’re not fit to live." - Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

If the American flag upsets you, I'd highly recommend you leave America. Watch as a liberal has a total meltdown over seeing American Flags at the beach. REPOST and make him famous - he posted the video because he wants the exposure and the message out there. In this case, I'm happy to help. By the way, America remains the greatest country EVER and proud back to back world war champions. #thinblueline #lawenforcement

Patriot Day, observed on September 11, is profoundly significant in our nation's history. This day serves as a solemn reminder of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when our country faced one of its darkest moments. It's a day to honor the memory of the lives lost and the heroism displayed, but it also signifies the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that defines America. On this Patriot Day, we remember the first responders, the courageous individuals who put their lives on the line to save others, and the countless acts of kindness and solidarity that emerged from the ashes of tragedy. It is a day that underscores the American people's strength and unwavering commitment to freedom and justice. Let Patriot Day remind us that we can overcome even the most challenging circumstances when we stand together and support one another. Today, we commemorate the past, acknowledge our shared resilience, and look forward to a future where these principles continue to guide our nation's journey. #PatriotDay #UnitedWeStand #Remember911 #911

Advocacy Determination Getting things done in advocacy and government requires determination, just like Rear Admiral Walter Hose's journey founding the Royal Canadian Navy. His legacy exemplifies the resilience needed to drive change despite significant challenges. "In hard times, neither politics, lack of money, nor ridicule could stop the determination and courage of this officer." This quote underscores the importance of strength in navigating complex public policy issues. Whether initiating new endeavors or protecting what is yours, Walter Hose's determination remains relevant today. Understanding the arc of acceptance in public policy environments is crucial. Similar to Admiral Hose, all encounter political, financial, and social obstacles. However, it's the unwavering spirit of perseverance that propels us forward in progress. The monument commemorating Rear Admiral Walter Hose stands tall in the beautiful Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia. #Advocacy #GovernmentRelations #Determination #PublicPolicyWins #WalterHose #Leadership
