Over the last couple of years, our founders Dr. Cheryl Chapman and Dr. Christopher Wolfe have written a number of clinical articles for us. We created a summary article with lots of good links to clinical data regarding dry eye and blepharitis. Two quick hits from the article: --> TFOS DEWS II article does have good outlines of how to care for dry eye. --> Three stages of how biofilms contribute to dry eye https://lnkd.in/gswRDKHM

⌛ The QT interval is calculated from the start of the Q wave to the end of the T wave and approximates the time taken from when the cardiac ventricles start to contract to when they finish relaxing. To adjust the QT interval for heart rate variations, the corrected QT interval (QTc) is used. There are several formulas to calculate QTc because heart rate can affect the QT interval differently across individuals and conditions. Each formula has its own assumptions and fits different scenarios or patient populations better. 📜 Here are the most common QTc formulas 1) Bazett’s Formula 2) Fridericia’s Formula 3) Framingham Formula 4) Hodges’ Formula 5) Rautaharju’s Formula 👩⚕️ The choice of the formula depends on the clinical setting, the specific patient population, and the preference of the clinician. Researchers continue to study and refine these formulas to improve their accuracy and applicability. ⁉ Which one do you use? ❓ Do you know any other formula? 🙏 Could you let me know if your ECG is printing the formula used to calculate QTc?

Based on a clear understanding of approval requirements and a successful 1st launch, the future is bright.
Back in 2001, I had a spark of inspiration: an internet-connected mobile diagnostics device for on-demand home testing. With a dash of naiveté (and zero knowledge of biology or diagnostics!), I embarked on this ambitious long journey. Fast forward 22 years, and the dream still burns brightly. While ET Healthcare has made significant strides in the field of professional In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) with our impressive portfolio of analyzers and reagents (used in over 2,000 hospital labs), my focus has shifted back to that original vision. This picture taken in 2009 showcases an early prototype using a compact quartz rod for testing – a stepping stone that has evolved into our current offerings. Now, I'm excited to announce my next project: developing a Point-of-Care (POC) device specifically for US hospital labs, paving the way for future home-based testing solutions. This journey highlights the power of persistence and the evolution of ideas. I'm confident that with ET Healthcare's expertise and unwavering dedication, we can turn this dream into a reality, improving healthcare accessibility for everyone.
