Our official ribbon-cutting for Adventist Health Sierra Vista and Adventist Health Twin Cities was an important milestone in our acquisition today. Very grateful for the community support and feeling blessed to be welcomed into the AH family.

In every office and at every bedside, our teams are inspired to care for patients and their families as whole people. This means providing more than clinical expertise — we offer more comfort and compassion to those entrusted to our care. Because at Adventist Health, we know we're all made for more.
Our Heartbeat in a Bottle project provides a keepsake for families to treasure after their loved one has passed. Launched at Adventist Health Sonora last spring, ICU staff print a copy of a patient's EKG and place it in a vial to create a keepsake for families to treasure after their loved one has passed.
Jessica Hamilton, RN, started the Heartbeat in a Bottle project as a way to continue providing comfort to people like Diane Severud, whose daughter, Cory, passed away in the ICU several months before the program at Adventist Health Sonora began. Diane saw our social media post about the project and reached out. Thanks to Jessica, her ICU coworkers and our medical records department, Diane received her daughter’s heartbeat all those months later. Hear her story in this video.

Congratulations to our newest The DAISY Foundation award winner Yum Truong, from our Med/Surg team at #AdventistHealthUkiahValley. Her peers recognized her advocacy for a patient, making sure they had all the resources needed for continued recovery.
Her nomination reads, “A patient was discharged with 5 new medications as a Spanish speaking patient who did not understand her discharge instructions. Knowing that it was very important for the patient to be able to understand her home care instructions, Yum jumped into action gathering resources, even going as far as printing pictures of pills, showing which ones to take at which time, partnering with the pharmacist to help educate the patient. She deployed Meds to Beds, calling anyone to help translate in person and working with the patient's friend who spoked the language to help translate at the bedside. Yum stopped at nothing to ensure the patient had everything they needed before discharge. It would have been easy to go and discharge the patient with a video interpreter. But Yum took the extra step to provide the patient with resources so that they can be successful in their care after being discharged.”
Congratulations Yum!

We are excited to announce the completion of significant upgrades in our Radiology department at #AdventistHealthTillamook. Our new state-of-the-art fluoroscopy equipment, digital X-ray room and portable digital X-ray unit are designed to provide fast-acting care with minimal disruption and the highest diagnostic precision.
With these advancements, we’ve already conducted over 3,500 ultra-high-quality digital radiography exams. Dr. Paul Welch shared, “I am very pleased with the new imaging technology upgrades. I can now manage patient care locally without sending patients out of the county for diagnostic testing.”
Last week, our team at #AdventistHealthSonora was honored to bless the site of the future Labyrinth Peace Garden at the Health Pavilion and Diana J. White Cancer Institute.
Made possible by generous gifts from Betty and H. Randolph Holder and Adventist Health Sonora's Hospice Patient Support Fund, the garden will serve as an area for prayer, meditation and healing open to patients, staff and the community. Labyrinths are an ancient style of meandering path that have been used as part of religious practice and spiritual pilgrimage for centuries.
The ceremony also included a groundbreaking by #AdventistHealth leadership and representatives from Teter, Inc. and Solomon's Gardens Nursery & Landscape, who will be working on construction of the garden this summer and fall.
We look forward to seeing this beautiful new space come to life for our community!
