Why are people so eager to celebrate NY and get all dressed up etc? Because it seems like a special day. Because we’ve been told it’s a special day. Wait.. Isn’t every day supposed to be special? Aren’t we supposed to focus on making every day a great day? Why just NY? Valentines? Christmas, birthdays?! Since 2020, when I began my inner journey and spiritual awakening my views have changed. I am no longer participating in the fomo around these so called “special dates”. Because every day is a special day for me. I am not so eager to celebrate these dates because I am intentionally celebrating every day. I wake up with the intention of having an amazing day. Every single day. But most people aren’t living intentionally, they are wasting their precious energy on the work they hate, on relationships that don’t fulfill them, they betray their dreams and their purpose every day. Every day doesn’t matter to them. And so when they’re told that NY is special, it’s a chance for them to AT LEAST celebrate this “special” day. Because for them every other day of the year isn’t special at all. So instead of being manipulated to believe that there are only a few special days in a year and we should get exicted about them >> get excited every day. Be grateful every day. Live intentionally. Explore yourself to discover your purpose. Listen to your soul. Not what you’re told.

Early Memorial Day thoughts. This holiday has so many meanings. For me though, it is remembering the absolutely tough last 5 years. Here is a brief synopsis. 1) Laid off in 2019 from a corporate job where I felt marginalized and overwhelmed. 2) Developed my positive and energetic personality (I was always an extrovert, but it never showed). 3) Took more risks than I should have in business. 4) Found the courage to leave my marriage. 5) Searched for meaning in life and in my relationships (hint: do not do this with relationships until you are centered). 6) Found my path and something I'm REALLY good at. I will never retire from this one. 7) Met someone who could be very special in my life. Trust me when you meet that person you WILL know. 8) Just had the most engaging training of my life which was an introduction to what will be a four year journey. 9) Now facing that my parents are still healthy but the decline even in the last 6 months was very noticeable. 10) Realizing that my current business stress was easy to relieve once I reached out to 3 or 4 people I have met through LinkedIn. They can be dispassionate about my plans and gave me great feedback. For me, Memorial Day this year is the memories and the people that I have found in life. Happy Memorial Day to you all. Happy Memorial Day, everyone! As we honor those who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country, it's also a perfect moment to reflect on our daily routines. Yes, habits can be incredibly beneficial—they streamline our lives, help us achieve our goals, and reduce stress. But, have you ever thought about the down side of being too habitual? On Memorial Day, when we step back to remember and reflect, it’s a good time to consider how our routines may be holding us back from truly engaging with the world around us. Think about it! When was the last time you took a spontaneous road trip or tried something out of your ordinary? Habits, while comforting, can sometimes keep us in a bubble, away from new experiences and opportunities. They can create a false sense of security and even stifle creativity. So, while I appreciate the structure habits bring me, I’ll use my day off to inspire me to break them. To honor those who’ve shown immense bravery by embracing a bit of that spirit myself. I’ll try something new, challenge my routines, and I might just find a fresh perspective waiting for me. Here’s to striking the perfect balance between cherished habits and new adventures! Regardless of what people think of birthdays, I always use them as a prime opportunity to reflect on the life I’ve led and the lessons learned. And boy, am I feeling grateful to be celebrating my 33rd lap around the sun. Some say that the 33rd year is the year of enlightenment. Maybe it is?! But I don’t actually believe that enlightenment is a thing you can achieve. Like healing, I think it’s a process - it’s not linear. It’s not an endpoint. It’s ongoing. And isn’t that a blessing in itself?! 3 things I’ve learned: 1. Just because something is done or believed by the majority doesn’t make it right. Listen to your intuition... If it feels off, it usually is - no further explanation needed. 2. It’s okay to change your mind. We evolve and learn new things. Embrace it, baby! 3. Most people are doing their best with what they know. Try not to take things personally. 3 things I’m grateful for: 1. All the experiences I’ve gained, lessons I’ve learned, and people I’ve met along the way. Particularly you Alec Dunning 2. My curiosity and hunger for learning. Essentially, my unwillingness to accept “the norm”. 3. The love & support I continually receive from my family and friends. I truly feel LOVED. And that really is something to be grateful for. Life is magic. 🤍✨🪄

It's flown and been the most stressful year of my life. Even more stressful than COVID, Zoom schooling, husband starting his business, dying parent, switching schools a third time. There is nothing like the stress of doing your own thing and putting yourself out there. Your name. Your reputation. And decimating your family's income while working 7 days a week. It's soul crushing at times. And then it's joyous an hour later. It's psychotic. And of course I wouldn't change it for the world. We've helped so many women already. Cried with them. Laughed together. We know about their stress at work. We've helped them get their resumes together. Found them marital counseling. Psychologists for their kids. Someone to de-clutter their homes. Assisted living for dad. Squeezed them in for a faster doctors appointment due to a scare. We know their struggles and their anxiety. And we know they're just like us. We've also helped them throw countless birthday parties. Graduation parties. Go on anniversary trips. Plan travel to see Taylor Swift in concert with their daughters. Send food to a sick friend. Surprise friends with flowers. Book beach houses for their extended families. Get dog trainers for their new puppies. We've helped them make memories and celebrate this crazy thing called life. We've also helped them with the mundane. Meal planning. Laundry. Childcare. Tutors. Roof leaks. Faucet leaks. Door locks. Car repairs. The real un-sexy stuff of adulting that still has to get done even though you're stuck in a meeting. I've made lots of mistakes in the past year including one really big one that I'll forever carry forward with me as we grow this company. But you learn more from the mistakes than the successes especially when you are the one who personally made them. I'm sure there are many more I've made and just haven't realized it yet. Many more to come if I'm lucky enough to keep doing this. Thank you to those who have supported me this past year. Some publicly. Some privately. Some checking in on me by text. This is 44! Today is my 44th birthday! As this goes - here are some things I have learned in my four+ decades of life. - Life throws good and bad stuff at us. It’s how we react to them and the takeaways that matter. - Family is EVERYTHING! My husband/business partner and my kids are my world. Spending time with them is what energises, balances and fulfils me. - Go big or go home - as they say. Taking risks in life and business is what has lead me to amazing opportunities, people and places. Dare to do things you’re uncomfortable with and you will grow. 💀 Death is my motivation. I have A LOT of cancer in my family. Meaning - I don’t have time for “later”. Taking action and doing the things I want to do, go to places I/my family wants to go to, start projects and businesses - do things NOW - No regrets. - Honesty, respect and integrity brings ease to my life. I want to sleep good when people know my intentions were coming from the right place. - Being real, myself, bringing the energy, showing my personality has lead me to some amazing connections and conversations with likeminded humans. When people are truly themselves, the connections are on a different level. - The gut feeling is never wrong. Learning to fully trust and follow it has helped me stay away from shady partnerships and situations. - Lean in on curiosity - learned to follow the curiosity instinct a bit late in life. Now it’s part of the “process” and an indicator to follow for new opportunities and personal growth. Excited to celebrate another year around the sun 👏 😃.

Hope at the end of the Tunnel! I was given the chance to speak before a group of students about end-of-life care. = I remembered feeling a sense of blur in the crowd. In a cold auditorium, with the spotlight up in the stage; = I could only see empty eyes staring right back to me. Probably, most of them are expecting an emotional and gloomy talk, it would be inappropriate to speak of death and dying in a joyful manner. = Whether we are in denial of it, one thing is certain, we are hundred percent guaranteed that we are all going to die. = As healthcare providers we seem to have forgotten the natural cycle of life. = Life is beautiful and should be celebrated. = By celebrating life, we give it the beautiful ending it deserves. = Life has a different meaning, but the culmination of one's life is usually based on the achievement of what we have hoped for while being alive. ------------ What is thought about life and death in general, share your thoughts, let's talk let's go!!!!
