#GlobalGoals #DWFGlobalGoals It’s Global Goals Week, and I’m taking steps to contribute to various goals and make a positive impact! One of my initiatives is mentoring my female colleagues through the Catalyst Mentorship Program. I’m dedicated to empowering women in their careers by providing guidance and support to help them succeed in the workplace—[Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality]. Additionally, for [Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action], I’m committed to taking practical steps to contribute to a more sustainable future: 🚶♀️ Walk, Cycle, or Use Public Transport: I’ll choose alternative modes of transport for more of my journeys to reduce carbon emissions and promote a healthier lifestyle. 🍽️ Reduce Food Waste: I’m dedicated to minimizing food waste by composting scraps and being mindful of my consumption. 💡 Conserve Electricity: I’m committing to using less electricity by switching off lights when I leave a room and being mindful of my energy use. 📱 Recycle Old Electronics: I will ensure that I recycle my old electronics properly to help prevent e-waste and protect our environment. #DWF #SDG Vidyesh Sabne Sameer Ekhande Harmeet S Pannu Suryad Pai Dipti Gosavi Julia Perez Chetan Chouhan Shabbir Das Soumyajit Roy Mehjabeen Jagmag Sakshi Kalra Sanyogita Majgaonkar Huda Burney

I'm excited to be leading Project One’s new female-only initiative, Gaia. For me, the opportunity to amplify our individual and collective impact around climate change and sustainability was the main driver. However, we’re also using this as an opportunity to test the bold hypothesis: female-only action groups can drive greater impact. Why? Research suggests women's leadership styles often prioritise collaboration and communication, fostering a unique environment for ‘getting things done’. Research on the impact of female-only groups is ongoing and doesn't provide conclusive evidence yet, so I’m curious to see for myself and understand what we can learn and potentially bring to more diverse groups to drive a greater impact for all. We’ve anchored our vision for Gaia to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals which highlight the interdependence of multiple social issues, including climate action, quality education and gender equality for young females, for example. By cultivating a supportive space for women to lead and collaborate, we’ll tackle specific social issues both individually and collectively, and track our progress to contribute to the conversation on gender and impact. It was great to spend time recently with such a diverse group of amazing women - Angelene Woodland Singleton, Annie Shepperd OBE, Claire Shepherd, Hayley Saich, Jean Smith, Jenna Mander and Nicola Mander - thinking about how each of us can influence change at a faster pace. #femaleadership #socialimpact #actionoriented #change #sustainabiltiy #climateaction

🌟 Wrapping up March with gratitude and reflection. I finally got my hands down to upcycling old clothes and bedsheets, giving them a new lease of life. It was fun bonding and chatting with my mom-in-law. 🫶🏼A belated post on International Women's Day, I want to give a special shoutout to my amazing mom-in-law who inspires me with her grit and life-long learning attitude, pursuing her career aspiration of being a teacher and maintaining her unwavering commitment to her family. 🙌 I am curious how she juggled a career and family. Her answers were she was motivated by her learning curiosity and thankful that she met a group of like-minded women who are challenging stereotypes and paying it forward to pave the way for the next generation. 👩👧👦 Let's honour the Merdeka Generation like her who helped shape thinking and changing perceptions. Having that network of allyship supporting each other accelerates the progress of building an inclusive culture. 🌸 We have witnessed the transformation of social norms, gender equality, and increased support from the workplace and policies provided to today's working moms. ✨ Lastly, invest in yourself. Going back to basics, working on the small and neglected muscles building our natural resiliency. Like working on strengthening our muscles, mental and learning agility are buildable skills to grow stronger! 💖 #InternationalWomensDay #Inspiration #Gratitude #bondingthroughupcycling #sustainability 🌺 The word “merdeka” means freedom in Malay. Describe the generation who joined the tumultuous road to independence of a new country.

The Magical Legacy of Gender Equity in the Workplace 🌍✨ Fellow travelers of the professional cosmos! Today, let's weave a tale of courage, transformation, and the enduring quest for gender equity at work. As we draw wisdom from the insightful article by Colleen M. Tolan and Lisa S. Kaplowitz, let's not forget the personal sagas that shape our understanding. 🔮 A Sorceress of Communication - My mother, a formidable sorceress in her own right, battled fiercely in the realm of workplace equality. Her journey, fraught with challenges, lit a beacon of resilience and determination. Her voice, often a lone echo in boardrooms, championed the cause of equity with the grace and strength of an enchantress. 🌌 A Son's Journey - Despite being nurtured in the nurturing spells of equality and fairness, I find myself, to this day, navigating the intricate labyrinths of gender equity. A gentle reminder from my wise mother, whose insights eclipse even the most learned sages, keeps me vigilant and dedicated to this cause. 🌟 The Three Pillars of Change - As we venture forward, let us embrace these transformative strategies: Acknowledging Fear - Face the unknown with courage, turning apprehension into a symphony of inclusivity. Addressing Ignorance - Illuminate the shadows of unawareness by listening and learning from the diverse tales around us. Overcoming Apathy - Replace the void of indifference with a blazing comet of empathy and commitment. 🚀 Charting New Horizons - United in our quest, let us build a workplace galaxy where every star shines with equal brilliance. Inspired by my mother's legacy and fortified by collective wisdom, our mission is to create a more creative, innovative, and equitable work universe. Join me in this noble pursuit, and let's share our stories, experiences, and visions for a brighter future. To infinity and beyond! 🌌 #GenderEquity #WorkplaceInclusion #Leadership #InnovativeThinking #DiversityAndInclusion #LegacyOfChange

Engineers are waking to the fact that gender inclusion improves design. Various organizations have built toolkits for technical professionals working in sustainable development who would like to implement more gender-inclusive practices. Dr. Eva Cheng at the University of Technology Sydney highlighted six, by six disparate organizations, each of which could improve gender inclusivity. This is how to improve inclusivity and why it matters. 🔗 Continue reading at Engineering for change: https://bit.ly/3zRIJnl #E4CFellowship #technology #sdg #socialimpact
