Let us unveil a bit of our team's daily work. Recently, we have been actively working with potential partners from several European Union countries for joint participation in the Interreg Europe program. This is one of the EU's key tools for strengthening cooperation between European regions and countries. This program promotes regional development, cohesion, and the reduction of economic inequality. During the 2021-2027 period, Interreg is focused on addressing current challenges: climate change, digital transformation, and social integration. The participation of the Rivne community in the pilot project NetZeroCities is one of the points of contact with our potential European partners. It is worth noting that in 2023, Rivne was the only city in Ukraine to begin implementing a project to improve climate change adaptation and rapid decarbonization. We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030. Interreg Europe #Rivne #Ukraine #InterregEurope #EUMissions #HorizonEU #MissionCities #HorizonEU

💪 Empowering citizens & communities for #energy efficiency! 🏘 #Renovation projects hold immense potential for energy savings, but success hinges mostly on residents and their awareness. The #ComAct project tackled this by developing clear, accessible #factsheets on energy efficiency for citizens and HOAs. ️The RENOVERTY Project amplified these efforts by translating the factsheets into extra languages! 🌍 This ensures residents in Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Portugal, and Spain can access crucial information to make informed decisions about energy use in their renovations. 👉 Download the Factsheets: https://lnkd.in/dN6jKuQD #energyefficiency #renovation #citizens #communities #ComAct #RENOVERTY #LifeAmplifiers BPIE - Buildings Performance Institute Europe Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy Foundation (IEECP) ComActivate Project Climate Alliance TEESlab - Technoeconomics of Energy Systems laboratory Focus, društvo za sonaraven razvoj / Focus Association for Sustainable Development European LEADER Association for Rural Development - ELARD ISR-UC UC Aisfor srl North West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency (REGEA) Ecoserveis Cultura Energètica LIFE Programme CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency European Commission

Melbourne and Daegu are making significant strides towards their climate goals, with a series of actions which are connecting contrast to climate change and sustainable urban development. The participation in the visits of the Cities-meet-Cities programme of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) that I'm coordinating at global level, was crucial for sharing innovative solutions to common challenges. The rapid transition to renewable energies and the adaptation of the urban context to extreme heat are challenges tackled by the cities with ambitious projects carried out in collaboration between public authorities and local stakeholders. Among these, the respective urban forest plans are not only planting new trees but contributing to urban cooling and quality of life. In an article published on the GCoM some highlights on the site visits carried out by the cities as part of the programme that is involving, among the others, Dakar, Banda Aceh, Santa Fé and Katowice
