That paradigm, in this case, comes from USMC Boot Camp and his return to instruct. Eventually, most of my videos on Facebook get views in the hundreds of thousands, which is good, but it means stupid comments are sure to be posted. A while ago I posted this brief video of a behind-the-scenes look at individual training and rehearsal for a 1stSgt at Marine Barracks Washington. Oh the whining! Very few are willing to ask questions, and when they do, some appreciate my explanation. When commenters write something like this, they are even less willing to understand my explanation because they absolutely refuse to learn anything but the party line. We need people like this in each service, but we don't need them that way for life. An unwillingness to learn is a dead end. No growth equals stagnation equals obsolescence in some cases. I'm getting a kick out of these #DrivebyComment posts! I hope you are too. How do you think it's going to go? That's the worst question to have to wonder before you pitch anything in the military... Anxiety comes from lack of preparation. If you were going to play in a championship sporting event, you would prepare beyond the requirement of the event itself. You would workout, eat right, and train for the specific event over a sufficient period of time. Treat your pitches in military acquisition with the same level of commitment as you would for gameday. When you are adequately prepared you are excited to get out on the field to show what you can do. Anyone can see and sense that type of energy, and that's the type of person that garners confidence and trust, which ultimately builds belief and approval of the request. Approval comes from a person. A person is driven by their beliefs. Huck Finn would be proud because all of you look like you're goin' fishin'. How you could do this, have a photo taken, and then have it published on Malmstrom AFB official social media just shows everyone our standards, even the seemingly little, stupid, insignificant standards, are gone. Do what you want as long as the outcome is #emotionaler. ❌Not only are these flags being carried over the shoulder like #HoboColors, ❌the American is on the far left, ❌the POW is a flag and not a color. It's only flown from a halyard, not a staff. ❌AFI 34-1201 SPECIFICALLY states the POW is not carried! ❌Two of the staffs have been cut down. The ferrule is missing and the bottom half is shorter. ❌Two of the finials are not authorized. 👉But, at least ya' got a cool photo, right? "Screw your standards."
