🚫 Drone No-Fly Zones in Effect During Euro2024! ⚽ As we approach the highly anticipated Euro Cup 2024 hosted in Germany 🇩🇪 , it’s crucial to highlight the implementation of drone no-fly zones around the stadiums and key event areas. 🚫 Drone No-Fly Zones Details: - Scope: The no-fly zones encompass all match venues and key locations associated with the tournament. - Duration: These restrictions will be active throughout the duration of the Euro Cup. Three hours before a match until four hours after a match close to the football stadiums - Applicability: The restrictions apply to both recreational and commercial drones, as well as any other flight operations Our team is well-prepared to manage operations around these no-fly zones and ensure compliance with all regulations. The drone with the highest performance captures the F1 world champion in motion.

Bit of a soft launch for a couple of bits of ground support equipment we've been doing some product design work on. With both these products we placed an emphasis on intuitive design, with the aim being that anyone can pick up either product and understand how to use it without any training. We also wanted to make sure that both devices feel right at home with our existing design language. Bottom Left: Precision IR landing system, designed to be rugged and super simple to use. Featuring a built in battery as well as provision for external power, the user just has to place the device down, turn it on and it's good to go. Middle Right: Flight Termination System Handset, designed to be super compact and can be worn around the neck so that even lone pilots can make it a regular part of their UAS operations. It's designed to be super easy to rapidly activate in an emergency but impossible to accidentally trigger. At Royal Grammar School Guildford, Design and Technology with Justin Kelly was my favourite subject and even though I ended up choosing a career as an engineer rather than a designer, having a bit of an appreciation of the product design process has been of huge benefit in almost all of my projects. #productdesign #design #designandtechnology

It's no mystery that I love the ⁠BETAFPV Pavo Pico equipped with the DJI O3 Air Unit. It is a fantastically flexible tinywhoop drone that packs a punch in the cinematic video department. However, there are obvious limitations to this drone and one that I have been asked to explore is whether or not the Pavo Pico is good for freestyle flying. While everything on the specs sheet and in my heart says "no," there really is no way to know until we try it for ourselves... This is interesting on so many levels. Firstly a bunch of drone geeks managed to design and develop such a rapid drone with some fairly limited resources, secondly they managed to get it to be manoeuvrable at such high speeds. The biggest plus for me was that in the wet you get a completely different perspective on the aerodynamics with the water showing not only the wake, but also how flow is managed around the squareodynamic tyres. This is like the ultimate combination of CFD and flowvis. Well worth watching.
