Celebrating 2 years of Planetary Responsibility Foundation! 🎉   On April 5th 2022, Andreea Kaiser and Ludvig Find, founders of ALFA Development, breathed life into the Planetary Responsibility Foundation. Today, we mark a significant milestone with two years of impactful endeavours. 🌍 In February 2023, Jens Böhme commenced as CEO, transitioning PRF into full operational mode. We initiated our commitment to nature restoration and knowledge sharing through two strategic initiatives, #RESTORE & #RETHINK. 🌍 Our journey has been one of strategic partnerships and purposeful investments. We have invested in Foresight Media Group and embarked on undisclosed ventures dedicated to restoring nature. 🌍 We launched Planetary Responsibility Insights – a weekly publication that delves into the realms of biodiversity, sustainability within the built environment. 🌍 Early 2024, the PRF board welcomed Alison Fort and Kirstine Damkjær, fortifying our dedication to driving positive change.   Exciting projects and investments are currently underway, with news set to be unveiled in the coming months. It's B Corp month, so we're taking a moment to share some of the defining moments from our journey towards accreditation and beyond. Over the next few weeks we'll be posting some of the projects for clients, charitable organisations and universities that have kept us busy with a capital B. First up, some work that helped Treasury Wine Estates evolve their brand ambitions and put their sustainability objectives into action. -- We’ve worked with Penfolds since 2020, supporting them as they make the strategic shift from fine wine brand to global luxury icon. In order to achieve this ambition, they need ideas that consistently break new ground and resonate beyond the category. For Penfolds’ 2023 campaign we pushed the boat out and focussed our attention on the world’s oceans. Our big idea was Deep Sea, a subaquatic thematic that would take Penfolds’ ‘Venture Beyond’ positioning into an exciting unknown. It was the perfect opportunity to flex our know-how on packaging innovation and sustainability (props to Helen Davies our Senior Production and Sustainability Manager). It was also the right thing to do: we couldn’t look at the sea and ignore the threat of pollution and microplastics. With Penfolds onboard we conceived and designed a suite of 100% recyclable, plastic-free packaging. This included a premium rigid but still recyclable pack for their BIN 389 release as well as a suite of all-card tubes and boxes for the rest of the range. My response to Lona Stoll's request for ideas of the top three items for policy-makers to ensure a sustainable future. I'd be interested in what you think? +++++++++ #1 - Change the way we defeat poverty, at home and abroad, as the current strategy just isn't working. Get people living in poverty unconditional cash, coaching to self-sustainability, and then analyze it all with advanced data analytics. (See https://lnkd.in/evsaADzr) #2 - Change our tax system so the rich pay the lion's share of the burden for a climate tax. The 1%ers just aren't paying enough. #3 - Incentivize it all by making sure that government's focus is on balancing the imbalance between rich and poor. If the poverty rate and wealth gap are worse after every 4, 8, 12, 16 years, then the system is broken. If we don't shrink these gaps, we won't have a sustainable planet as those living in poverty will be unable to afford the burden required for the massive shift in the way we live, and will be hurt worse as our earth gets hotter. Business will continue as usual, and then it will be too late. BVRio is again searching for innovative solutions worthy of winning The Earthshot Prize as an Official Nominator. Between today and 15 December 2023, BVRio is in the privileged position to be able to submit nominations for The Earthshot Prize 2024. Along with the other Official Nominators, we are looking for exceptional initiatives which aim to address one of five critical issues facing the planet: 🌴 Protect and Restore Nature 🌬 Clean our Air 🌊 Revive our Oceans  🗑 Build a Waste-Free World 🌎 Fix our Climate The Earthshot Prize will consider solutions which make tangible progress towards one of the five Earthshots.
