🎉 Congratulations are in order for this year’s Naruse Academic Scholarship recipients! 🎉 Each year, we award a four-year scholarship to the child of a North American-based AFL associate entering a college or university. The scholarship was named in memory of Toshihide Naruse, Managing Director of Fujikura, AFL’s parent company. This year our award winners are Bikram Dhugga, Elizabeth Ludwick, Hongcheng Richard Li, and Amber Brown. ⚙️ Bikram is the son of Taranjeet Dhugga, Operations Manager, for our Canadian Services division. He currently attends Simon Fraser University where he is studying Mechatronics Systems Engineering and would like to become an engineer in the future. ⚕️ Elizabeth "Beth" is the daughter of Ryan Ludwick, Business Process Manager, at our Duncan, SC headquarters. Beth is a cross-country and track athlete at University of South Carolina Upstate and is studying Exercise Science and Biology in hopes to one day become a Physical Therapist. 💻 Hongcheng "Richard" is the son of lisa huang, who works in our Westford, MA office as an Optics Engineer. Richard will pursue a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Purdue University Engineering School. He hopes to continue his education to the PhD level and invent new technologies. 🌈 Amber Brown is the daughter of Tammie Jordan, Buyer/Planner, at our Monroe, NC location. Amber will be attending Wingate University and plans to study Psychology and become a Child Psychologist in the future.
