In this occasion, our partners from Ecorys presented the POSEIDON project during the workshop "Tackling Corruption as an Enabler of Organised Crime".   The workshop was an excellent opportunity to explore the nexus between corruption and organised crime in European ports. Discussions focused on the challenges of corruption and organised crime in major European ports, the importance of exchanging good practices to tackle them, and on shaping a future perspective for an international collective action.   The session was attended by 30 stakeholders interested in gathering insights and approaches to fight corruption and organised crime in the maritime sector. From INRAV we have proposed to mobilize and promote cooperation between States, international institutions and civil society to recover the assets lost as a result of acts of corruption protected and sponsored by the Venezuelan government regime. Once we manage to recover the assets stolen from #Venezuela, the next step is to develop projects focused on the reconstruction and social reconstruction of the country through mechanisms of transparency, participation, collaboration and social innovation. #INRAV #INRAVenezuela #Cleptocracia #Corrupción #Corruption 

The #European_Union #Anti_Corruption_Network first inaugural meeting !!! With the EU anticorruption package adopted on 3 May 2023, the European Commission stepped up its action to supporting Member States' anti-corruption policies and legislation. The EU network against corruption brings together national authorities, practitioners, civil society, international organisations, EU agencies and relevant services of the European Commission. The goals are to provide a new impetus to corruption #prevention efforts across the EU and to develop best practices and practical guidance, contribute EU corruption #risk_mapping, for the development of the first #EU_strategy_against_corruption. In this inaugural first meeting of the EU network against corruption, we will discuss its objectives and potential added value, followed by an exchange on trends and topics for in-depth exchange in future meetings. In the afternoon we will have interactive discussions on some of the good practices and trends identified in the 2023 #Rule_of_Law report. Finally, we will present participants with funding opportunities for anticorruption projects under the Technical Support Instrument (TSI), Erasmus+ and Internal Security Fund.

Too good to be true 🤭🤭 is the perception when participants hear the journey of the The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network corruption Network and the Convention on Business Integrity Project in the Nigerian Maritime sector. The project is an exceptional case study on Collective Action in Anti corruption. Great lessons on Collective Action approaches and elements from Martín Zapata and Soji Apampa 👏👏
