Corruption, being a clandestine activity, requires people to report and expose illicit acts using safe channels and mechanisms. The role of whistle-blowers in exposing corruption is paramount. Join us for the annual commemoration of ๐€๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ง ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ข-๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ every ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ก ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ and let us push for better protection mechanisms for whistleblowers. ๐Ÿ“บhttps://ow.ly/RKtN50Szn8M ๐Ÿ“ƒ https://ow.ly/OtIX50Szn8N

Julias Kambarage Nyerere once said something to the effect of "almost Everywhere in the world, there is corruption but in Africa it is so serious. When the road is to be constructed [somewhere outside Afrika] the tender will be given to the president's or prime Minister's son and the same would happen in Afrika. But in India, China ( outside Afrika) that road will be constructed but in Africa ๐Ÿ™‚โ†•๏ธ the money will be spent (eaten) but the road won't be constructed. I am not sure if this has changed decades after Nyerere's era. And I would add while most of the time governments have been considered to be corrupt, but the problem with corruption in the continent has been internalized by most individuals/citizens. To the extent that whoever has any power and opportunity would always make sure he/she benefits from fraudant act otherwise he/she will looked upon as a fool. We need not only laws and policy to fight corruption but also work to change the mindset of the individuals and community.

Are we anti-corruption in Africa, really? Can't this people stop mocking their own people? Isn't it better to advert following action?
