The notion that insufficient knowledge or awareness is the sole driver of healthcare issues has been debunked. Increasing diversity in clinical trials and all research is vital in understanding how health interventions can affect patients differently. Altura CEO Pete Fronte, MBA chaired a forum on this topic at the DIA 2024 Global Annual Meeting in June. Dr. Karen Correa, PhD,BCMAS, Takeda; Dr. Jim Schultz, Neighborhood Healthcare; and clinical trial patient Mario DuCre discussed how community health centers (CHCs) and life science companies can play a key role in boosting clinical study involvement among underrepresented populations. Webinar Description: FAIR research publication advances reproducibility and data reuse for collaborative discovery and innovation, which is critical for the NIH HEAL Initiative®’s goal to urgently stem the national pain and opioid use disorder public health crises.
