April is National Minority Health Month, and at Inovalon, we're committed to bridging health disparities and advancing equity for all. Data has shown that minority groups are often underserved by the healthcare system – and data is key to making real change in health equity. With our industry-leading primary source dataset, we are expanding diversity in clinical trials and better informing minority patient care by accounting for social drivers of health. Inovalon's dataset represents the largest, most diverse resource for researchers and analysts across healthcare to derive deep insights for the improvement of health outcomes and economics. Our latest research with Harvard Medical School is a good example. You can download the 4 research papers here: https://ow.ly/sEI330sBrCq I am proud to work for a company that is contributing to advancements in health equity. While National Minority Health Month reminds us that healthcare has work left to do to deliver equal care to all communities, we’re also reminded of how far the healthcare system has come. #MinorityHealthMonth #HealthEquity

I feel thrilled and proud to share that an article I co-authored with my BCG X colleagues, Chris Meier, Nigel Markey, Ben Howitt, Ilyass El Mansouri, and Carel Schwartzenberg, has been published in the esteemed Nature Scientific Reports. Do clinical trials keep getting more complex? Over 16,000 trial data sets analysed through machine learning by us signal a strong yes! The last decade witnessed a sea of changes in clinical trials - new formats, endpoints, regulatory shifts, and escalating competition. Meanwhile, trials take longer, and success rates feel like a trip up the down escalator. An urgent question: Is clinical trial complexity spiralling uncontrollably? And is such complexity necessary? Curious? Immerse yourself in the details here: https://lnkd.in/e-bRacYz #Nature #Healthcare #BCGX

Co-Founder & CEO of Humanity - On a mission to extend healthspan. Founder. CEO. Investor. Board Member. Speaker. Community Builder.
💡 There's something we believe very strongly in at Humanity Inc: 💯 Everyone should be able to access and understand their Biological Age (functional age based on current disease risk versus chronological age) and be able to easily track it over time. 📈 Why? Because this knowledge can inspire healthier choices and guide us towards healthier, longer lives. 🤝 That’s why I’m excited to announce our partnership with Expand Health. 🔗 Through the Humanity Inc Age API, Expand Health can seamlessly integrate biological age tracking in to their testing management platform so that it's accessible by their patients, practitioners and partners - supercharging their healthspan-focused care. ✨ We couldn’t ask for more mission-aligned partners than Emilian Popa, Jack H., and their team, including Tessa Glyn. 🙏 Special thanks to Longevity.Technology and Eleanor Garth for sharing this milestone with the community. 👏 Lastly, a huge shoutout to Henry Whicheloe, Michael D. Geer, and the entire Humanity Inc team for delivering something so impactful and scalable in such a short timeframe. Amazing work guys! 👇 Want to discover your Biological Age? Let me know in the comments below, where you will also find a link to the Longevity.Technology article announcing this strategic partnership. #humanity #longevity #healthspan #biologicalage #rateofaging

These are four great insights for implementing #transformation. Thank you Patrick McGill, MD MBA. I would add when going into new technologies like #AI, we have learned it is critical to more deeply define the problem to be solved - too often healthcare leaders fall in love with technologies or solutions instead of problems. Additionally, implementations don't fail because vendors or partners don't do the handful of things they promised - it's because the health system did not identify or address the myriad of workflow, technical and change issues inside the health system. Reciprocating with internal resources do this important work is critical to success.
Ferrum Health's East Coast Head of Sales, Matt Martonik, had the opportunity to sit down for an interview with Community Health Network Chief Transformation Officer Patrick McGill, MD MBA. Here's a quick glimpse of their discussion on how other healthcare leaders should manage deploying AI in their health systems. "I tell my team this on an almost daily basis. If we're not making people a little uncomfortable in changing things, we're not transforming anything, and it takes a lot of courage to be able to do that."
