A key feature of new car EV subsidies, is that it also reduces used car prices. & THATS GOOD!. 👍 💡🫶🏻 This means that while initially a subsidy looks inequitable & focused on a wealthier new car buyer, all it does is reduce the access purchase commitment. - enable more to buy.⚖️👏 The subsidy doesn’t stay in the pocket of the 1st owner, if they had a -$5000 subsidy incentive, the assset they bought is then worth -$5000 less instantly to everyone else! It doesn’t in ‘total’ reduce a cost of ownership, only a bit does, as most of the subsidy passes through to the next owner in the form of the lower used prices later.🧩👍 So the original subsidy, the money spent (or fore gone taxes), also subsidises the 2nd & 3rd owners & further.⚖️ This is a big misunderstanding of subsidies, (now touted misinformation), that the 1st owner sometimes believes they keep the money & its theirs, not understanding most of it passes through them with the product. It also follows the rule of fiscal entropy, of everlasting money circulation, it’s like energy - it never disappears. It just keeps moving around onto the next owner transferring in the exchange of value. It could be said moneys life & value only end or reduce when you burn it 🔥💸. - or buy a fuel with it & burn it, to make heat or motion! So the less $ you use to buy fuel, the less $ you burn, so the less money is lost, as opposed to transferred, or kept. If cash is king, then = Renewable electric is king! 💡 = EV & Hybrid are kings.🔋🏦 #evSubsidies work, they aren’t gifts, they pass on through the value lifecycle chain. If you want evidence - check out used EV prices in uk (example below attached) & also used hybrids in Japan…. These aren’t low price because they are all crap cars! They were subsidised & incentivised when new - it’s just now flowing through to lower used prices - providing more equitable population mobility. (The crap ones people don’t want, are still the lowest of all prices though!) 💡It’s actually the ONLY form of #trickledown that really works - because the money went into a product that changes hands, not something that someone can keep forever. It’s #tricklethrough in reality. And if it didn’t work - leasing companies would stop doing it & they’d be burning money right now. Most are not = More evidence! - because they base their depreciation & Residual Values for used disposal, on the subsidised net price to buy, not the original list RRP…… 💡 So, don’t believe the BS misinformation you read about EV residual value % collapsing - they’re not , it’s just the subsidies flowing through as they should, & moving out of the 1st Gen, low km range ones washing through!

EV ARE TO SLOW TO CHARGE. Modern EVs are definitely changing that the Kia EV 9 managed to pull a charge rate of 177kW from a GRIDSERVE rapid charger. In under 10 minutes it took more kWh than our first EV, an original Renault Zoe could store in its whole battery. #rapid #charging #ev #efficiency #KevDrives

EV’s are far too expensive for the average working person! Mmm… With a number of brand new EV’s coming to market at the sub 25k price point in the next 12 months. Used EV’s already having price parity and the below announcement from Volkswagen Group below mean there is a bright future ahead and that light is powered by Electricity ⚡️ 💡 🚙 Oh and also forgot to mention. The cheaper running costs, fuelling costs, never having to visit a fuel station again and the car being at the perfect temperature at time of departure.

The noun, EV, also makes up the third and fourth letters of the adjective, inevitable. This increased EV range can add hundreds or thousands of extra kms or miles every year, depending on how often the roof rack is deployed throught the year! Auto-retracting roof racks will also lower electricity costs, without reducing distance travelled annually! So very cool! Auto-Retracting roof racks will also lower the demand on the electrical grid, allow more EVs onto the grid, lower carbon emissions, lower pollution & increase happiness of EV drivers, families & people around them! Auto-retracting roof racks are such an amazing invention for all vehicles…..& even better for EVs!
