Core facts, so far: ⚡ Price of about €20,000 ⚡ Show car will be public at the beginning of March 2025. ⚡ World premiere of the production model: 2027 Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand says: “An affordable, high-quality, and profitable electric Volkswagen from Europe for Europe – that's the Champions League of automotive engineering!” Low-cost entry-level mobility in the #electric era will be one of the cornerstones of the brand’s future plan. Together with the production version of the ID. 2all, the new electric model is part of the new electric small car family, developed under the umbrella of the Brand Group Core within the Volkswagen Group. The model family includes compact all electric vehicles based on the new stage in the evolution of the modular electric drive (MEB) platform. The first new model will be the production version of the ID. 2all show car, which is to reach dealerships in 2026 as Volkswagen’s first all-electric small car – at a base price of less than €25,000.

⚡ Big trucks are going electric, too! Our colleagues of MAN Truck & Bus SE just celebrated the delivery of ten long-distance all-electric trucks to DB Schenker. 🚛 The MAN eTGX Ultra semitrailer tractors will be serving at different locations throughout Germany. The trailers have been used specifically for high loading space requirements. This helps to make transport more environmentally friendly and, in combination with the all-electric MAN eTGX Ulra Low Liner, reduce CO2 emissions. 💬 ‘The new MAN eTruck is not only locally CO2-free, but also fulfils the diverse requirements of our customers. Volume transport is one example of this. No other series-produced electric semitrailer tractor offers such a short wheelbase with maximum battery capacity for trailers with an interior height of three meters.” explains Friedrich-W. Baumann, Member of the Executive Board for Sales & Customer Solutions at MAN Truck & Bus. 🤝 DB Schenker and MAN have agreed that a total of 150 electric trucks will be added to the fleet.

That’s about 3,300 km, one way. When temperatures quite often hit minus twenty or thirty degrees celsius. The organizer and founder, Peer Haupt, put a Volkswagen ID.7 GTX Tourer as a staff car to the test. Designed for Beijing's urban residents, the guidebook aims to increase people's understanding of ancient trees and guide readers toward a more scientific approach to viewing and protecting these natural treasures. It also provides readers with 17 destinations, encouraging urban residents to engage with these gems for those interested in seeing them in person. 📖 "The launch of the guide serves as a concrete extension and interpretation of Audi's global 'Mission: Zero' program. 🚗 Our colleagues at Volkswagen have reached a new efficiency milestone! The Volkswagen ID.7 Pro S drove an incredible distance: 941 kilometres on a single #battery charge! The standard ID.7 Pro S with no technical modifications consumed just 9.2 kWh/100 km in this #efficiency drive which took place on the famous #Nardo test track in southern Italy. 🔋 The test drive with the new ID.7 Pro S was completed in December 2024 by Volkswagen Driving Experience pro drivers on the Low Speed Ring in Nardò at ambient temperatures of 5 to 15 degrees Celsius. The 12.5-kilometre circuit enables a wide range of traffic scenarios and endurance tests to be simulated effectively. The average speed during the efficiency test was 29 km/h, which corresponds to typical rush hour speeds in large cities. According to the latest “Traffic Index” from navigation specialist TomTom, this figure ranges from 22 km/h (Hamburg) to 31 km/h (Amsterdam). 🗨️ Martin Sander, member of the Board of Management responsible for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Volkswagen:  “We are seeing a positive trend in incoming orders in #Europe and are currently selling more ID.7 models than Passat. This shows that the ID.7 is a meaningful all-electric addition to the brand’s product portfolio.
