A recent global Brand Audit Report by The Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) movement revealed a startling fact: worldwide 18 of the 20 most common items found in waste streams were related to food packaging, including beverage bottles, food wrappers, and food containers. This underscores the critical need to shift towards reusable service ware and packaging to combat plastic pollution and embrace a circular economy. Amid the packaging crisis, opting for reusable service ware is a must. Nonetheless, we have a solution for Colorado-based businesses. We're still accepting participants to receive the $600 worth of service ware and one-on-one consulting with us. Contact us for more information. Plastic is not completely bad; we use it every day and everywhere. What is clear to everyone is that we all need to try to reduce waste streams. D-PAK (and other products like stand-up pouches) offer us this opportunity. There is no reason to throw away your hand soap pump after one use—just refill it! I am using the content of a recent post from Kartoflex as the basis for this message; more information can be found here, https://lnkd.in/eUwUuWMu ( Unfortunately, the text is in Dutch, I am sure you will understand the core message ) Recent tests conducted in Germany, Great Britain, and Sweden show that consumers prefer cardboard refill packages over plastic pouches. 🌱 🔍 Key Findings: **Sustainability & Environment**: Consumers choose cardboard for its lower carbon footprint and the reduction of plastic waste. **Ease of Use**: Cardboard packaging scores high on sturdiness, user-friendliness, and reclosability. **Wide Applicability**: Suitable for liquid hand soap, dishwashing liquid, fabric softener, and more. 📊 Impressive Statistics: - 97% of Swedish respondents preferred Elopak's D-PAK over plastic. - More than half of German and British consumers are willing to purchase non-food products in cardboard packaging. "Consumers are looking for eco-friendly, user-friendly packaging. Elopak - D-PAK cardboard meets these needs and offers manufacturers the opportunity to differentiate themselves." Kompak Nederland BV will be ready for production by Q4 of this year with the first new D-Pak filling line currently being validated! If you have any questions, please direct them to us or to Elopak, Maarten Kaal, Ali Siddiqui, Andreas Weselka.
Plastic is everywhere. Cartons make up a significant portions of the packaging market for liquid food and beverages. In the EU, roughly 75% of milk and 59% of juice are packed in cartons*. Paul Nieduszynski, Sysco GB CEO, stated: “This is another step in our journey to reduce our environmental impact, building on successes like removing plastic from our berries packaging. In the food & beverage industry, manufacturers play a crucial role in making progress towards a more sustainable future. It’s time to align your insulated shipper boxes with your corporate sustainability goals. From the method in which products are produced to the packaging and shipping – every choice matters. If you’re still using styrofoam – there’s a better way. RESCO uses biodegradable pads to protect your products, while being conscious of our carbon footprint. #EarthDay #sustainability #foodandbev #foodserviceindustry

The discussion surrounding take-out food packaging has been relatively quiet recently, following a necessary pause after the prohibition of single-use plastics in October 2023. This ban specifically targeted the use of throwaway plastic cutlery and styrofoam containers, leading the industry to shift its focus towards finding alternative choices for their clientele. Looking back on the past year, the primary focus has been on developing environmentally friendly approaches for packaging take-out meals, ones that have a minimal ecological footprint and promote a sustainable economy. This particular aspect has garnered significant attention in the packaging sector lately, often spurred by regulatory measures and policies designed to foster innovation in this field. #plastic #saynotoplastic #plasticpackaging

The global shift towards sustainability is undeniable. Making the switch to eco-friendly food packaging can significantly reduce your brand’s environmental footprint and production costs. Here are the top 6 benefits of adopting eco-friendly food packaging: 👉 Incentivizes Customers: Despite a general lack of adherence to eco-friendly intentions, consumers’ aspirations remain genuine. By increasing accessibility to sustainable options, such as eco-friendly packaging for carbonated water, businesses can incentivize customers to choose their brand over others. 👉Convenient Disposability: Eco-friendly packaging not only appeals aesthetically but also offers practical disposal options. Biodegradable materials can be composted, reducing landfill waste and easing customers’ environmental concerns. 👉Positive Branding: Embracing eco-friendliness enhances your brand’s image, even if environmental impact isn’t your primary message. Meeting consumer demand in this area can significantly improve your brand’s reputation. 👉Non-Toxicity: Eco-friendly packaging reduces the circulation of harmful substances like lead and mercury, associated with traditional plastic packaging. This is particularly important for brands catering to families and those concerned with non-toxic food consumption. 👉Energy-Efficiency: Lighter materials used in eco-friendly packaging reduce the strain on production processes, leading to energy savings and reduced business costs. 👉Variety: The evolution of eco-friendly packaging offers a range of options, from flexible parchment bags to rigid, plant-based containers. This variety caters to different product needs while maintaining a lower environmental impact. At LabelProfi, we’re committed to providing quality, sustainable packaging materials tailored to your business’s needs.
