The initiative shows a good direction in the efforts for zero net carbon by 2050. According to the “2019 Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction” published by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the construction sector accounts for nearly 40% of global energy-related greenhouse gas emissions Oman has focused mainly on switching to Green Hydrogen as a source of energy to reduce the carbon emissions of the country. However, there is a direction to switch the construction sector into a green housing ecosystem with the use of more sustainable building materials and building self-energy generating houses Canada's planning to have green procurement policies related to the standards and codes would force the industry to join the initiative. In 2018, the construction sector contributed 9.4% of New Zealand's total domestic emissions. The government have played a big role in introducing the net zero carbon plan in 2022. We need all to unite from different sectors and contribute to the global 2050 Net Zero Carbon goals. #CO28 has been illustrating massive efforts globally to reach that goal and create a better future.
