🚢 From May 21st to 23rd, the Breakbulk Europe will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. As the leading event for the freight sector, the Breakbulk trade fair provides a unique opportunity for decision-makers and professionals worldwide to connect, conduct business, and establish new relationships. Over the course of three days, more than 11,000 attendees from 126 countries will gather in Rotterdam to participate in various B2B conferences and workshops, explore the exhibition, and engage in discussions about the latest industry trends. 🇵🇹 This year the Portuguese ports will be exhibiting under a national pavilion organized by Associação dos Portos de Portugal, the Portuguese Port Association. STEP TIPS 💡How to increase the sustainability of your trade fair presence 🚆 Travel As an exhibitor, preparing and implementing a sustainable trade fair presence includes a variety of aspects - and we are going to lead you through them in the following weeks with tips on how to reduce your impact on the environment. Today, we are focussing on how you can optimize your travel strategy in a sustainable manner: ✅ Plan and book your travel accommodations early: Be it train tickets, carpooling or EVs, and prioritize hotels or other accommodations close to the trade fair / easily reachable with public transport. Check if your ticket includes free public transport as well and make use of that if possible. Additionally, consider staying somewhere with low environmental impact and the relevant certificates. ✅ Inform your customers about environmentally friendly travel options to increase the reach of your sustainable approach to trade fairs. ✅ Use local service providers to reduce the transport route - start looking close to the trade fair and see if you can find fitting vendors there.
