Our staff are always trying to find ways to #improve the #experience patients receive every time they come through our doors. Teams of #clinicians in a number of areas across the service identified a few areas where #flow could be #enhanced, allowing us to do just that. This work was recently #recognised following Bendigo Health’s participation in the Department of Health Timely Excellent Care Collaborative (TECC). The health service was one of 14 #public #hospitals that took part and the #collaborative ran from January 2023 to June 2024. In that time, 12 change ideas relating to our theory of change were tested through the application of Plan-Do Act-Study (PDAS) cycles within three workgroup streams – Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient services and Hospital-wide Operations (Access and Demand). Bendigo Health received a Certificate of #Recognition and #Achievement for “achieving significant and sustained improvement as part of the Timely Emergency Care Collaborative”. #TECC #award #achievement #health #loddonmallee #hospital #patientflow

In honor of American Hospital Association's #NationalHospitalWeek, we’re celebrating all hospitals, health systems, and caregivers who provide 24/7 care to their community. One of the hardest challenges hospitals face? Crowded Emergency Departments. We’re proud to partner with several of the nation's largest, most innovative health systems that are using virtual care – when clinically appropriate – to reduce burden, increase patient throughput, decrease left-without-being-seen rates, and optimize clinical staff. As hospitals continue to utilize technology to reach beyond their physical boundaries, we remain committed to our health system partners, ensuring that the communities they serve receive timely and high-quality care when and where they need it most. #NationalHospitalWeek #VirtualCare #DigitalHealthInnovation #WeAreHealthcare #HealthSystems

Addressing the root causes of hospital bed blocking is crucial for improving patient care and ensuring efficient hospital operations. We can enhance patient flow and reduce unnecessary hospital stays by tackling key issues like the lack of available social care, insufficient community healthcare services, administrative delays, housing issues, and managing complex medical needs. It's time to work together to find solutions and ensure every patient receives the timely care they deserve. #HospitalBedBlocking #HealthcareEfficiency #PatientFlow #SocialCare #CommunityHealthcare #AdministrativeDelays #ComplexMedicalNeeds #HealthcareSolutions #TimelyCare #HospitalOperations #ReduceHospitalStays

🦋 What does it look like to put exceptional care into action? 💐 At Hunter Valley Private it's outstanding clinical care, followed by flowers picked fresh from the garden and placed at your bedside by Tracey. 🏠 These small touches help to add colour and a sense of home to the rooms where our patients recover. 📍 We don't ask our teams to do this, it's just how they model our values from a local perspective. #values #WeCare #patientcare #whatmatterstome #hospitals

I stumbled upon this video put together by @drtsbey and @duchesshospital, it's quite disheartening. Addressing the doctor shortage crisis requires a multi-pronged approach at different levels, from encouraging more people to enter the medical field to making existing doctors' work more efficient and rewarding. Intensive private sector involvement would go a long way. #Nigeria #Healthcare #Economy #Hospitals #HealthcareProviders

The process of reporting a negative hospital experience is vital for accountability and enhancing patient care. To address a bad hospital encounter effectively, consider the following steps: - Document Everything: Keep detailed records of dates, times, staff names, and incident specifics. Thorough documentation strengthens your case and credibility. - Engage Patient Advocacy: Hospitals often have a Patient Advocate or Patient Relations department to handle complaints. Contact them to discuss concerns and seek assistance. - Contact State Health Departments: For serious issues, reaching out to your state’s Department of Health is crucial. They oversee healthcare facilities and can launch investigations. - Consider the Joint Commission: The Joint Commission, responsible for hospital accreditation, prioritizes patient safety. If care was compromised, file a complaint on their website. - Share Your Experience: Sharing your story can raise awareness and potentially help others avoid similar challenges. It can also prompt facilities to improve services. Prioritize safety and privacy when sharing. Your input is invaluable in ensuring quality healthcare and advocating for improved patient experiences. Reporting concerns can lead to positive changes in healthcare practices. #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareRights #YourVoiceMatters #SafeCare #hospital #reporting #patientcare
