STEAM SUPERHEROES are making moves!

One of our STEAM Superheroes in action mode!!!

I’m getting ready, just like the #EuropaClipper prepares to head to Jupiter! 🌌🚀 🌪️ Due to Hurricane Milton, the launch was delayed from its original Oct 10th date, but NASA and SpaceX are working hard to secure a new launch window, now scheduled for Oct 14. 🛰️ This mission will take us on an incredible journey to explore Jupiter’s icy moon, Europa, in search of clues about its hidden ocean and potential signs of life. The spacecraft is expected to arrive at Europa in 2030 after traveling nearly 1.8 billion miles! 😲🪐 🔬 I can’t wait to wear my #EuropaClipper shirt, along with two special flags signed by JPL engineers behind the CLIPPER’s GNC & the World Changers Luminaries Kiewit Luminarium . The incredible white flag, was designed by Clipper engineer and artist @Karla Rosario This flag honors the mission and sets a beautiful bon voyage for the Clipper as it embarks on its journey. Both flags will take center stage at the launch and later return to JPL for a place of honor. My father once entered the United Nations quietly to fix elevators, instructed to be discreet and unseen. When I spoke at the UN, I was neither quiet nor unseen. I was incredibly honored to speak at the United Nations for the Interstellar Foundation and UNESCO IESALC on “Our Collective Humanity and Pluralism: Multistakeholder Support for the Right to Higher Education.” Latinas make up just 2% of the U.S. STEM workforce, and women represent less than 30% of global researchers. It’s time to change that. 🚀 Through Citizen Science, all students are learning they belong in the STEM community and can collaborate across borders, cultures, and disciplines. This inclusive collaboration is vital to our future in space and education. 🌍 It’s a call for action!
