"As an artist, it can be easy to get lost in your own world and overlook the importance of connecting with others. But promoting your art and drawing attention to what is special about it, is almost as important as creating it," says Mary Corrigall in her latest article for Latitudes Editorial. This is an interesting question, and the debates will likely continue. Scholarship is constantly evolving as new research is uncovered. And it's a totally plausible scenario since artists often do "borrow" from each other and don't give credit to the original creator. #artworld #artresearch #artnews #intellectualproperty #artmarket

Lessons from a night at the Museum 🦕 Sometimes when you go to a museum, You are given some headphones, So you can learn about each painting through digital voice. The similar thing with LinkedIn is how, Just like in the museum, We make a decision based on what we see first, To then decide if we want to go in and listen further, Because often, we are scrolling with the sound off, we must consider this to draw people in. 1) Think mobile first and make good use of space. 2) Even if you are giving away tips and tricks, Like every painting has a story, you can do the same. Find an interesting way to position your message with a storytelling format, So you can spark emotion, And get people to stop tp listen to what you have to say. #video #linkeidn #founder #entrepenour

Experienced Education Professional Excited to Begin Contributing to an Education Department at an Informal Education Setting
After all of the examination and learning about different #artistic movements, I thought that it is important to get back to basics. In this video from the Phoenix Art Museum, they give a student-friendly guide of how to look deeply at a work of art. They demonstrate how non-experts can look at, analyze, and understand a work of art. It is important for students to learn that looking at art is for everyone, and that it does not need to be intimidating. If you are taking students to an #art #museum or gallery, you can have them practice the method presented in the video so that they are confident when the visit day arrives. Do you have any other techniques or methods to improve this skill set? I encourage you to share them in the comments. #MuseumEducation https://lnkd.in/ghJRUJ_k

Art Lovers, Do you want to ask SMART questions to help you gain insight into artworks? I realized when I present my artworks at an exhibition, the most frequent question I get is: “How did you make that artwork?” While asking how something is made is a valid interest and helps the questioner understand the artist's production process, it does not lead to deep insight into the art. In order to connect with artists and their artworks smartly and deeply, you should consider reading my tips ! Here's one of my smart questions! Tip # 4: "What did you have to develop, try or learn to create this artwork?” I wrote a blog post and provided 4 tips that can make your questions more meaningful. After reading my blog posts please try to ask an artist in this way next time you attend an art event. When YOU think about ART exhibited in galleries and museums do YOU ask yourself: would I hang them on the wall at my living space? When it comes to collecting #art a few aspects arise: • do YOU collect for yourself, to suit your interior? • do YOU place the meaning or the beauty on the first place? • do YOU collect for investment? • do YOU just want to support an artist? Sometime it’s hard to answer. Maybe someone have all of those aspects at ones, the others only one or two. • What does my art correspond to? It’s a portal to involving ideas, it’s a viewer experience and matter of his point of view, not what they look at. In short, my art is meaningful and provoke the #collectors to deep into, but at the same time I leave the space to wonder. Collecting my ART can be rewarding for investors too, as I involve in #internationalexhibition , showcase my #paintings at #galleries , have been published by #internationalmagazine , studied at Art university, big experience and got #curators awards. If YOU consider to #supportartists it’s welcome for sure. As any artist I have slow sales time to time and the studio rent and art supplies are needed to be paid anyway. So, any sales help the artists keep going and have #motivation To summarise, whatever aspect is resonate with YOU, the very FIRST REASON to collect YOU need to like it! 💗💗💗
