Happy Earth Day 🌍 This year’s Planet vs Plastics theme serves as an important reminder of the steps we must all take to support the transition towards a circular economy. Using recycled, bio-based and responsibly sourced raw materials is a critical part of our circularity strategy, and through our group-wide Planet Passionate sustainability program we’re working to increase the use of recycled PET as a raw material. In fact, we have recycled more than 3 billion PET plastic bottles* into our manufacturing processes since 2020*. Celebrating World Environment Day with Sustainable Personal Care Choices 🌿🌍 Let’s appreciate our beautiful planet and commit to actions that can make a positive impact. One of the often-overlooked areas where we can contribute is through our personal care products. Here's how our everyday choices can help protect the environment: 🌱 Choose Eco-Friendly Brands: Many personal care brands now offer products with sustainable sourcing, biodegradable ingredients, and eco-friendly packaging. 🚮 Reduce Plastic Waste: Opt for products with minimal or no plastic packaging. Refillable containers, solid bars of shampoo and soap, and glass packaging are excellent alternatives that reduce plastic waste. 💧 Conserve Water: Our personal care routines can consume a significant amount of water. Simple changes like turning off the tap while brushing your teeth or taking shorter showers can make a big difference. ♻ Support Recycling Initiatives: Many companies now offer recycling programs for their products. Participate in these initiatives to ensure that packaging and containers are properly recycled. At #LANXESS, we see sustainability from different angles. A good percentage of consumers say they want sustainable packaging, and food companies include packaging in their sustainability goals.
