🤔 Eighteen months have already passed from the PLOTO project. The M18 plenary meeting has just finished in Athen. It was a useful event for summarizing the results achieved so far and considering future tasks. 🔎 Csaba Csiszár and Bálint Csonka summarized our initial plans for the task about the Inland Water Ways (IWW) Resilience Framework. This task will start in the coming months and will be led by the BME. #inlandwaterways #resilience #researchanddevelopment

Excited to share our new story about the work done with the #SolomonIslands! At Global Evaluation Initiative, we believe that bridging the gap between diverse experiences and local realities is key to driving meaningful change within the communities and governments we serve. This story is a good illustration of the importance of localizing and contextualizing knowledge and tools to strengthen #MonitoringandEvaluation systems. #knowledgesharing #drivingchange #evaluation CLEAR Anglophone Africa Clear Francophone Afrique CLEAR LAC FGV EESP Clear CLEAR Pakistan & Central Asia J-PAL South Asia
GEI is a global coalition of organizations and experts working together to support the strengthening of monitoring, evaluation, and the use of evidence in developing countries.
The journey towards improving evidence-based decision-making must start with local ownership, local customs, and local voices. GEI’s systems-based approach to strengthening national monitoring and evaluation systems always begins with understanding the local context and integrating cultural practices that work best for each country and community we work with. Our latest Story of Change demonstrates how leveraging local best practices led to greater and more meaningful community involvement in GEI’s Monitoring and Evaluation Systems Analysis (MESA) diagnostic in the Solomon Islands.
