🏗️ Early Stages, Big Savings! 🏗️
Most of the jobs we work on happen before a project fully comes to life. Today, we walked a site still in the early construction phase that will soon be ready for us to pump stone and soil media once waterproofing is complete.
Our services aren’t just about efficiency—they’re about saving you money, too. By shipping materials in bulk directly to the job site, we avoid the high costs of super sacs, cutting your price per unit nearly in half.

Solving the Unsolvable with Precision and Power
In the world of plumbing and civil construction, not every problem has a straightforward solution. Recently, our team at Pre-eminence faced a challenging situation where a critical water supply line was blocked for an extended period. Despite multiple attempts by other contractors, the source of the blockage remained elusive.
But with our combination jetting and vacuum truck, we were able to get to the root of the problem. The advanced technology and capabilities of this machine allowed us to accurately trace the issue to a broken section of the pipe that had been overlooked.
Thanks to our skilled team and the power of our equipment, we successfully cleared the blockage and restored water supply to the area. It’s a reminder that the right tools and expertise can make all the difference.
Proud to be part of a team that never backs down from a challenge!

This time lapse was taken over a 5-hour period at a regional Water Treatment Plant upgrade we're currently working on. We’re preparing the foundations for a truck in-loading bund, part of the civil works for a new in-loading bund and dosing system. The purpose of this is to ensure that any chemicals leaked are captured instead of running off into the nearby ground and waterways.
We thought it would be interesting to capture this part of the project on video.
Site Supervisor Robert Markovic explained the process in detail.
“A lot of people think you just drive up and pour concrete. If only it was that easy! There are several stages. Once the ground works are done (clearing, grading, levelling to create a stable base), you first apply a blinder pour for the sump pits and the in-loading drain pit. This is layer of rough concrete poured directly onto the ground to make a clean level working surface for future works.
After that, the sump bases can be steeled up and formed and concrete can be poured. In the next stage, the walls of the pits can be done in the same manner. Drainage needs to be installed underground and electrical work done too. We then do the blinder layer for the driveway, steel up and form work. The perimeter of the driveway for the next stage of concrete has a bund wall that will contain any leaks. There are pathways, the rest of the driveway and another retaining wall yet to complete.
The idea of the in-loading bund is to contain any leaks from the storage tanks inside the building. Any leaks will drain into the sump pits and overflow to the in-loading bund driveway drain, activating an alarm. This shuts the plant down and closes the driveway drainage valve to contain the leak to the unloading area. This needs to be a watertight area and preventing any cracking in the concrete is a huge factor for this project.”
A lot goes into these projects, but this is essential infrastructure for a community. We can all look back with pride at a job well done.

Regular maintenance of gas spring roof hatches is vital for safety and performance. Aim for at least one annual inspection, but increase frequency based on usage and environmental conditions.
Key Maintenance Tasks:
✅ Gas Springs:
Check for wear and leaks and ensure smooth operation.
✅Mechanisms:
Lubricate hinges and verify proper function.
✅Safety Features:
Test hold-open stays and inspect the weather stripping.
✅Structural Integrity:
Look for water damage and tighten loose hardware.

Increase inspections in harsh conditions:
🌊 Coastal areas: quarterly checks for corrosion.
🧪Industrial settings: monthly inspections for chemical damage.
Regular checks enhance your roof hatch's safety, efficiency, and lifespan.

🚧 Compaction is a fundamental process in construction that ensures the stability and durability of the building materials and groundwork. Using the right equipment for compaction is crucial for achieving the desired project outcomes.
Why Proper Equipment Matters:
🔹 Stability: Proper compaction increases the density of the soil, reducing air gaps and making the ground more stable. This prevents future settling and shifting which can cause structural problems.
🔹 Load Bearing Capacity: Well-compacted soil can bear heavier loads, making it essential for foundations, roadways, and any structure requiring a solid base.
🔹 Moisture Control: Compaction reduces the soil's permeability, decreasing the likelihood of water seepage which can lead to erosion or freeze-thaw cycles damaging the structure.
Bartell Global’s compaction equipment, like the BR2750, provides precision and power to ensure effective compaction even in challenging environments. This results in a safer, more durable foundation for any construction project.
Choosing the right compaction equipment is not just a good practice; it's an investment in the longevity and safety of your construction projects.

Improper treatment of the drainage of the DM plant's neutralization pit can potentially cause damage to the entire foundation of the plant. Here's a case study:
Picture 1 - The condition of the neutralization pit of the DM plant in a reputed organization before we undertook the project. Both tanks were in similar conditions, with tank 1 being particularly worse off.
As specialists in this field, we took on the challenge.
Upon inspection, we identified that the poorly maintained drains/regeneration pit of the DM plants was the main cause of water seepage into the groundwater. This water then traveled through the underground structure, causing damage to the entire foundation and reaching the neutralization pit from the back of the wall, also causing damage there.
(2nd Video Sample)
We began by rectifying the drain and redirecting the water from the 1st Drain by constructing a Prefabricated Lining. After the construction, the water was channeled to the 1st drain, unifying its flow.
Following the completion of the 1st drain, we proceeded with the 2nd drain.
One might wonder if the plant had to shut down during the rectification process. The answer is NO.
The entire process of Prefabricated Lining was carried out while the plant was operational, as shutting down the DM plant, being a critical utility, was not feasible.
Therefore, we executed the job of Prefabricated Lining without the need to shut down the plant.
