In July 2024 we delivered 77 aircraft to 40 customers, totalling 400 deliveries in 2024. We also added 59 gross orders to our books, including 20 #A350 and 11 #A321neo from Japan Airlines. Read more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d2Vsyv54
I have to say, this is a pretty good recovery. In 2018 pre-covid predictions were around 68, A320, 10, A350 and A330 stable. A total prediction back in 2018 was between 880 and 920 across the fleet. Let’s not fool ourself, demand has always been there. For me, It’s been about how quickly will the world start flying again and how reactive the supply chain can recover and without this sounding negative because in my lifetime I have not seen a recovery better, I question how well would the supply chain performance be doing if Boeing had not reduced its build rate? Imagine the supply chain being pulled by two key customers at full demand. Once again, a great achievement by the supply chain.
It is beginning to look like a one horse race!! Boeing’s build rates being capped will now give Airbus a chance to really steal a march!! It takes a lifetime to build a good reputation and an instant to lose one (or two MCAS accidents and a door blow out in the case of Boeing)
77 aircraft in a single month is incredible! 👏 Airbus, you're at the top of your game.
