Building a diverse team can help nonprofits understand the varied needs of the communities they serve. But diversity alone isn't enough. Creating a culture of inclusion and belonging allows everyone to bring their unique perspectives and voices to the table. For LGBTQ+ professionals, finding this kind of culture can be challenging. The Deloitte Global 2023 LGBT+ Inclusion @ Work report found that 42% of LGBTQ+ employees experience non-inclusive behaviors at work.
