Happy to share our recent paper where we compared different separation techniques for the isolation and enrichment of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from a clinically relevant 1mL sample of human plasma. Considering the fact that: (i) patient sample availability is a key barrier to translational research (with many biobanks storing samples of ~1,5mL or less) and (ii) there is a need for an easy, fast, not complicated and reproducible method that separates EVs, in this study we confirm and highlight size exclusion chromatography (SEC) as the most preferred method that would be suitable for widespread adoption in less EV-specialised labs for clinical biomarker identification studies. Well done to Stephen Robinson and the rest of the team! #extracellularvesicles #exosomes https://lnkd.in/eg8S8Mmp
