Historically, the primary distinction between one-year and two-year full-time #MBA programs has been the opportunity for #internships. Recognizing that internships can be valuable for career transitions and gaining industry experience, #Lehigh offers an optional internship component for the one-year program. While the 1-MBA has a strong record of preparing students for the job market, this added flexibility gives students the choice to pursue an internship if it aligns with their post-MBA goals.

HPA student, Alexa Bellino, is interning with SUN PHARMA this summer! Regarding her internship, Bellino shares, "I am looking forward to working with the different teams and learning more about their roles. I hope to gain a tremendous amount of information about each role in the pharmaceutical industry as you don't realize how much goes into it when you are on a specific team. I also hope to be able to narrow down what I want to do with my career and tailor my experience in that area."

Looking forward to what the rest of the internship has in store! "Being super punctual is a must! Make sure you're always on time for work and meetings, and try your best to meet all deadlines. It shows how much you respect your work and are committed to doing a great job. When completing tasks, aim for excellence every time, whether it's something simple or complex. Doing top-notch work sets a strong foundation for your internship. Don't shy away from taking on extra work! Being proactive and seeking out more tasks shows that you're eager to learn and contribute. Being resourceful is key. Try to solve problems on your own before asking for help. It shows that you're independent and have good problem-solving skills. Asking smart questions is a great way to show that you're prepared and genuinely interested in learning. It can lead to some really insightful conversations and help you gain deeper insights. Lastly, remember to build relationships with your colleagues across the organization, not just other interns. Connecting with people professionally can really help you grow personally and open up future job opportunities.
