My dear legal network, you won't believe these predictions about the future of legal departments from KPMG. Here’s a quick overview in a more readable format: 💻𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: By 2025, automated tools and AI will be a big part of legal work. Chatbots and other tech will handle routine tasks, letting lawyers focus on more complex issues. 📝𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems will become essential, like CRMs are today. They’ll manage everything from negotiating to finalizing contracts, making the process smoother. 💼𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀: Knowing how to read data will be as important as understanding legal terms. Legal teams will use data analytics to improve contract performance and find ways to save money or boost revenue. 👥𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: People within the company will expect personalized and user-friendly legal services, similar to what they experience as consumers. Legal services will need to adapt to meet these expectations. 📨𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: The entire contracting process will move online, speeding up deal closures. This will involve standardized steps for contract creation, approval, and storage, all integrated with other business systems. These changes highlight the need for legal teams to stay flexible and innovative. Feel free to share your thoughts or how you see these changes impacting your legal department! https://lnkd.in/gPJRqnHE #LegalTech #FutureOfLaw #DigitalTransformation #LegalInnovation #ContractManagement
