These two stainless steel pumps unload tanker trucks in a chemical plant. They pump chemicals into the storage tanks and act as transfer pumps between the storage tanks and further processing. The temperature of the medium varies between 80 and 120 °C. These temperature fluctuations also cause the viscosity of the medium to vary. The speed of the pumps and therefore the flow rate are adapted to the different viscosities of the medium via a frequency converter. The medium crystallizes at a temperature below 80 °C. For this reason, the pipes and pumps are heated. The thermosiphon system is also equipped with a heating device. A circulation pump ensures continuous flushing and heating of the double-acting mechanical seals. Both pumps are manufactured in accordance with API.
