A few remarks you might find interesting: ·      Fund financing is a business that have reached USD 1 trillion ·      Sovereign funds and family offices strongly want to coinvest ·      Everybody talks about democratization ·      There are new investors who want to invest in alternative assets, but they seek low risk ·      Investors prefer large brands; demand for smaller funds is significantly lower

Yesterday, our CEO Lieve Mostrey delivered the keynote speech at the ‘Bridging the Funding Gap’ conference - an event organised by finance&invest.brussels, PMV, Wallonie Entreprendre and SFPIM as part of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU.    Lieve reminded the audience that Euroclear has been created at the end of the 1960s to facilitate the funding of the real economy. 55 years after our first issuance aimed to finance the building of an Italian motorway, Euroclear has grown an important European and international ecosystem of investors and issuers. Our secure platforms bring together more than 2000 financial firms and central banks into a network where they can hold and transact securities issued by companies, governments and supranationals. As a digital notary, we safekeep more than 37 trillion euros of assets for our clients. And every month we allow them to transact the equivalent of the entire world’s economic output – more than 1 quadrillion euros per year. They all brought back invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of EU financial services regulation. 🌍 Global Dialogue, Local Impact Eurofi serves as a pivotal platform, fostering dialogue among key stakeholders from the EU, US, Asia, and beyond.
