𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢, 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙑𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 Vincent Van Der Wilk has been working at Royal Brinkman since 2011 as the Area Manager for Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Let's have a chat with him. 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙚, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪? I'm Vincent van der Wilk, I live in Naaldwijk with my girlfriend and 2 kids. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪? Every day is different because of the various countries and customers. Never boring, and there's always a suitable solution for everyone at all times. 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢? Together with my team, we are in the field of acquisition and customer management in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪? Friendly, helpful, reliable, and perhaps sometimes a bit too structured 😉 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙟𝙤𝙗? I especially enjoy customer visits abroad. Building long-term relationships in a beautiful foreign environment. 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩? I always wanted to work in an international environment. As a result I found a job at the international department of Royal Brinkman. Since I arrived I still enjoy going to my work every day. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙫𝙚𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩? All types of fruit and vegetables. Traveling gives you the chance to eat some of the cuisine. I eat (almost) anything. 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛? Honestly, not really. Every year we buy new plants for our backyard. Unfortunately, the majority of these ending up in the bin fairly quickly. Throwing back to last week where we had the awesome team building activity & pre-Christmas celebration in Roche conducted by PeopleLink. First and foremost, I was really impressed by the creative ideas from the energetic trainers. Never have I thought we would have a successful yet memorable team building with a time restriction of 2 hours. Thanks to Peggy & Daphne😁 It was incredible to finish the Christmas Shopping Challenge in such a short period of time - a mere half an hour! Wouldn't have done this so perfectly without great team work! Its powerful ☃ We were separated into small groups to buy food in Sunway Pyramid for another team. The most unexpected thing was that every team bought food from different shops/restaurants, with literally no repetitive food presented on the table! Different unique ideas bring fruitful results😉 Being one of the organizing committees, seeing every happy faces and increased interactions between the members made me feel unprecedentedly satisfied, although unpredictable challenges occurred at the planning stage. And yeah, I'm so motivated and excited to organize more impactful team building activities next year! Cheers to many more incoming Team Building Activities 🎊
