Lessons from a Tuscan Retreat: Claiming Your Power and Sparkling At the bottom of the grand staircase in the Tuscan castle, I spotted a pair of high-heeled shoes, casually left behind. And it struck me—this wasn’t an old-fashioned fairytale. This wasn’t Cinderella losing her shoe, waiting for a prince to come and save her. These shoes belonged to women who were throwing off what didn’t serve them, stepping into their power, and celebrating all the more freely. These weren’t women waiting to be saved. They were women leading, creating, and claiming their own stories. That’s the energy we cultivated during the CEO With SOUL retreat. It wasn’t about waiting for something to happen—it was about creating it. It was about recognising our power, embracing what lights us up, and celebrating every step of the journey. By the end of the week, we weren’t just talking about our successes—we were dancing in sequins, sparkling inside and out, and reconnecting with what truly matters: joy, community, and purpose. So, as the year comes to a close, I invite you to reflect: What would it look like to throw off what’s holding you back? What would it feel like to celebrate yourself fully—not because someone else told you to, but because you’re claiming your power? If you want some encouragement to do just that, book a discovery call with me, or sign up for our newsletter to hear about next year’s events, including Tuscany in June 2025, Edinburgh, London, or online gatherings. Let’s step into your power together. #LessonsFromTuscany #WomenInBusiness #ClaimYourPower #CelebrateYourSuccess #LeadershipWithSoul #WomenSupportingWomen #CEOWithSoul

It’s been quite a while since my last post, so I wanted to take the opportunity to provide an update on what’s been happening in my world and share some exciting plans for 2025 and beyond! The past year has been transformational for the Fierce Ladies Collective (FLC), a community dedicated to empowering women through meaningful connections and transformative experiences. Here are a few highlights: 💜 Welcomed 487 new women into the community, marking an incredible 266% growth. 💜 Hosted 47 events with a combined reach of 271 attendees. 💜 Supported 45 small and local businesses through partnerships and collaborations. Each event, retreat, and initiative reinforces the FLC’s mission of creating spaces where women can connect, grow, and thrive. In 2024, we introduced new ways to deepen engagement and expand our impact: 💜 Launched Fierce Ladies Collective ELITE, a limited-membership community offering exclusive benefits and opportunities for connection. 💜 Expanded our retreat model to include biannual retreats, held in both the fall and spring. These retreats are designed to help women nurture self-love, develop personal growth, and foster authentic relationships. While the FLC is a significant focus, it is part of the larger vision of KMF: Keep Moving Forward, my parent company dedicated to empowering individuals and fostering connection. In Q2 2025, KMF will introduce new expansions that represent a refreshed approach to some of my earlier offerings. In 2026, I’ll be launching a new program that has been in development for some time—a reimagined version of an offering close to my heart. These new initiatives will further align with KMF’s mission of helping others build meaningful connections, grow personally and professionally, and embrace forward momentum. 2024 was a year of growth, community, and renewed purpose. It reignited my passion for building KMF: Keep Moving Forward, and I’m excited about the opportunities and impact we’ll create in 2025 (and beyond!). To those who have supported this journey, thank you. Your encouragement fuels my dedication to building spaces where connection and growth can flourish. Here’s to the continued expansion of communities that empower and inspire. #KeepMovingForward #FierceLadiesCollective #CommunityBuilding #ProfessionalGrowth #PurposeDrivenLeadership

There aren't a lot of moments when I reflect on my nine-year-old self, but I definitely had one a couple of weeks ago when I gave a talk to Cary Memorial Library in Lexington, MA. I lived in Lexington for a year in fourth grade and my mom, ever a fan of libraries (a gene she passed on well), took me there often. So imagine my surprise when the library reached out to me and told me they were going to collaborate with 5 other Massachusetts libraries to host me for a virtual event to talk solo travel. I was able to share some of the key takeaways from my book to an audience of 300 travel-loving attendees! For so long, traveling solo as a woman felt isolating—like I was part of some niche group carving out our space in a male-dominated world. But then I realized something huge: we aren’t the minority. We’re the majority. Yet, the travel industry doesn’t always reflect that. It doesn’t fully represent the diversity of women travelers or the unique stories we bring to the table. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating spaces where ALL women feel seen, represented, and empowered to explore the world unapologetically. We are shaping this industry. We are leading it. And it’s time the world recognized our power. Let’s keep pushing for change together💜 #WomenInTravel #RepresentationMatters #DiversityInTravel #WomenLeadership #TravelIndustry #Empowerment #TravelMarketing

Last Tuesday, Homy Retreats hosted its first Connection & Self-Care event in the beautiful Oh My Cream ! shop in Notting Hill in London. When Oh My Cream ! offered to host this event I was a bit hesitant, wondering how this was fitting in to what I do at Homy. As much as gathering friends in a beautiful shop in Notting Hill excites me, I am always mindful of doing things that are in full alignment with where I am going and where I want to bring my clients forward. And then, it made so much sense to gather this bunch of incredible women and offer them a moment out of space and out of time because this is what our mission is at Homy Retreats as well. Creating unique experiences. Events that bring transformation, and connection, and create an unforgettable space where people feel seen, nourished, and reconnected with themselves. At Homy Retreats a retreat is not just a holiday and this evening was not just an evening in a beautiful space, surrounded by clean brands and joyful women. It was a moment to connect inspiring and powerhouse women, to connect with ourselves and to take a step back from the hectic day-to-day. Because, as I said in my speech: “Looking after yourself is not just about filling your cup so you can hold space for people and things you care about. This is about accessing your intuition, your gut feeling. Looking after yourself is about having access to all the answers you need to live a life that feels aligned in every cell of your body. And that you cannot access if you are running and rushing from one thing to another.” So here is a sneak peek into Homy’s first Connection and Self-Care event. 28 women together chatting, laughing, meditating and simply getting out of the daily grind. A unique experience where the watchword is all about YOU. I cannot wait to host more and grow this community of like-minded women making such an impact in the world. Let's create waves of impact together Maud #homyevents #connectionevent #selfcareevents #homyconnectionevent #womentogether #womencollaborating #womeninwellness #inspiringwomentogether #ohmycream #ohmycreamevent #ohmycreamcollaboration

In a world that often tells us to play small, let this New Year be your invitation to dream bigger and trust that you get to have it all. We call this... ✨Sacred Rebellion.✨ As we wrap up the year, I’m reflecting on a little checklist I created for living out your Sacred Rebellion Era—the bold, beautiful act of living life on your terms, unapologetically. This isn’t about traditional goal-setting or hustling harder. It’s about coming back to yourself and what truly matters. So, here’s a little guide for closing out the year with intention, purpose, and a whole lot of self-love: 1. Clear the Chaos: What’s no longer serving you? Whether it’s a commitment, a mindset, or even a messy closet—release it to make space for what’s next. 2. Honor Your Wins: Big or small, every step forward deserves to be celebrated. (Yes, even getting out of bed on the hard days counts!) 3. Set Soulful Intentions: Instead of resolutions, ask yourself: What would feel expansive in 2025? What energy do you want to embody? 4. Lean Into Community: Remember, you don’t have to do it all alone. Share your wins, your struggles, your dreams—your people want to support you. 5. Rest and Receive: Rest isn’t a luxury; it’s fuel for your next chapter. Give yourself permission to slow down and allow good things to flow your way. At The Nova, we’re all about supporting women as they rewrite the rules and create lives that feel deeply aligned. If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear: Is there anything you'd add to this list? 2025 is right around the corner, and it’s bringing so much opportunity. Let’s enter it with clarity, confidence, and connection. Join our virtual membership and let's activate your Sacred Rebellion inside a community of like-minded women.

Let's talk about the elephant in the luxury hotel ballroom: these so-called "women's empowerment events" that cost more than most women make in a week. You know the ones, high teas with designer cupcakes, networking brunches with three-figure tickets, and conferences where the price of admission could feed a family for a month. Now,here’s what bothers me to my core: We're packaging privilege as empowerment. When your "empowerment event" is only accessible to women who are already empowered, you're not lifting anyone up, you're just building a prettier penthouse on top of an existing tower. I recently asked women about their experiences at these events. The responses were telling: vague platitudes, recycled motivational quotes, and business cards exchanged over champagne. But where's the tangible impact? Where are the stories of women whose lives were genuinely transformed? The brutal truth? These events aren't designed for the women who need empowerment most: - Not for the single mother working two jobs - Not for the ambitious young woman from an underserved community - Not for the immigrant professional struggling to break into her field - Not for the countless women fighting daily battles against systemic barriers Instead, we've created an echo chamber of success stories talking to other success stories, while the women who could truly benefit from mentorship, resources, and opportunities remain locked outside, their faces pressed against the glass ceiling we claim to be shattering and peeping over the walls of your social media pages. Real empowerment isn't a ticket you can purchase. It's not a motivational speech in a five-star hotel. It's not a selfie with a successful CEO. Real empowerment is about creating accessible pathways to success, providing tangible skills, and offering concrete opportunities to women across all socioeconomic backgrounds. If you're organising these events, I challenge you to OPEN YOUR DOORS. Create scholarship programs. Take your wisdom to the communities that need it most. Stop hiding transformation behind a paywall. Because right now? We're not empowering women. We're selling exclusivity and calling it elevation. #Womeempowerment #TopWomen #Eventorganisers #Careerpaths #Glassceilings

What's one thing on your list of hopes and dreams that you keep promising you'll get around to? But, your 'WHEN' and 'WHAT-IF' scenarios keeps getting in the way 😨. ❌ 'When I have more experience...' ❌ 'When I grow my audience...' ❌ 'When the time is right...' We all have our own set of excuses, don't we? I was incredibly passionate about hosting a women's empowerment event, but I was terrified. ❌ 'What if no one shows?' ❌ 'What if I fail?' ❌ 'What if'... *insert your own what-if scenario here*... The reality is that all of our fears CAN manifest. But what if we never try? Well, that only leaves you with one foreseeable outcome 🫣. When I met the incredible Andrea McCabe 👑, we shared the same vision. One powerful conversation over a coffee led to hours of ideation, visualisation and planning. 6 weeks later, we brought our flagship, SOLD-OUT female empowerment event to the women of Dublin. I'll never forget the magic we created in the room that day. It was incredible 😭❤️. Here's the thing... Your 'WHEN' and 'WHAT-IF' scenarios will always influence every decision you make. It's up to you to rise above your fears and limitations and decide to follow your dreams, regardless of what may happen... Here's my 3-step FEARLESS formula I'll take everywhere I go 🦸♀️. Step 1️⃣: Accept that the negative outcomes you're afraid of can happen. So what? You tried, and that's all that matters. Step 2️⃣: Get excited about the magical, empowering and life-changing outcomes that also exist. Spoiler alert: these are more likely to occur!! ✨ Step 3️⃣: SAVOUR. THE. EXPERIENCE. Why is this step so easy to miss? 🫠 To my fellow FEARLESS queens, thank you for making our event so special. FEARLESS 2.0 - pending ⚡️ Andrea McCabe, my event partner, inspiration and dear friend - let's do this! #DublinEvents #FemaleEmpowerment #Community #WomenSupportingWomen
