It's time to catch up on Viropay's progress - things are moving quickly. These past weeks have been intense. Being part of Startupbootcamp's accelerator program has been both exhilarating and demanding. The pressure is increasing with demo day approaching on June 20th, we're pitching at TNW! It's all about showing off our MVP (minimal viable product), which is the first rough version of our product, to showcase Viropay to potential clients and investors. Normally, a ''demo'' can be put together in weeks, but we're processing financial data which changes that quick and dirty approach. Meeting security standards means our process takes longer. Either way, the team works around the clock to get it done. I will post more often to showcase the process of building a demo and our path towards the big day on June 20th. Now, back to work 👋

Ever wonder how one goes from a Executive Limo service to deliverying food and beer to your doorstep? Can you imagine how that Pitch would look like? Hey Mr. Investor, trust me, I have a big vision how to transform point to point delivery, regardless of whether its hustling high networth individuals back n forth between meetings and the airport, but one day, we see a day when our service will rollup into an app that lets everyday consumers make money by using their own vehicles to transport from point to point anything that can fit inside their vehicle, whether its a person, a package or beverage. Huh, I dont get it, ( says the frustrated investor) Theres no way Uber makes that pitch out loud, and theres no way any reasonable or logical investor buys into that vision. After all, how does an Executive Limo service get from here to there? I don’t see it. Exactly! Or did they? Thats why its called a vision! Its only able to be seen by those with eyes to see and ears to hear. 100 pitches later….the rest is history! Kudos to Uber you continue to shake up the world with the balls to dare to change the world. My kind of guys! Live Fearlessly. Trust Yourself. Empower Others. #getoutside

I hear people every day talking about the tools or widgets being why they chose the software they did, and I was there at one time. 😬 In 2021, I was introduced to the Founders of Cents. 🙏 Alexander Jekowsky Gilli Cherrin They shared their vision for the industry with me via a total management system but took it further. They saw an all on one solution that connected everything but also sought to revolutionize our industry outside the industry. I was and still am fascinated and am their biggest fan. 🔮🚀 They've already done it with a company called Doordash, but most haven't taken that seriously to their own detriment. 😢 The other day, they announced another huge partnership for Cents users with a little company called Google. 😮 It may seem simple, but it's NOT. It was a heavy lift that few would appreciate, but they did it with the "book online" feature via Google Business. Fyi, this feature singlehandedly saved the restaurant industry during Covid. This simple yet complex partnership allows a little mom n pop laundry owner like me to revolutionize the sign-up experience by integrating with Google, and I'm SO grateful for their vision. This is a GAMECHANGER for our industry. 🚀 There's much more that I can't share at this time, but the Cents team is just getting started. They're only a few years in and already eclipsing the industries' tech abilities, but most aren't aware. As a passionate advocate for elevating the independent operators' ability to serve their community, trust me when I say if you aren't using Cents, you are being left behind. 🤔The equity case behind software rollups. 1️⃣ Small software companies represent a distinct asset class and allow a bet on specific tech stack (e.g., Ruby on Rails), technological milestones (AWS), industry (insurance) or category (HR). Most of these companies are too small for large-scale capital, so pulling them together allows institutional investors to participate in these attractive markets. 2️⃣ Active ownership. No one argues that founders are the best operators but each founder has personal circumstances at some point in life that may affect the business. E.g., burnout, family expansion, illness and many more. Moreover, portfolio aggregators benefit from the swaths of data and cross-pollinating. Did I miss anything? Clients are beginning to give us ideas on how Novel Wallet Passes can be utilized — and I love this for a multitude of reasons: 1) Collaborating with other leaders and pushing our businesses forward is mutually beneficially 2) There’s still so much room for Wallet Passes to grow. Every day I’m exposed to new ideas for functionality that we can build towards and implement 3) Novel Wallet Passes are making other people in this space think about retention and loyalty on another level — we’re starting a conversation with our product. 4) When others catch new innovations first, it inspires me to work harder and push the team to continue experimenting with functionality on a broader scale. Resting on our laurels isn’t an option. Stay tuned — our team is just getting started.

The past week has been an intense roller-coaster of emotions. First, we missed out Beta launch date by two days because of some crucial tests we had to run. I felt so relieved after we finally went live. Even though I knew the sleepless nights were just beginning, I was glad it’ll be caused by a new phase of the journey. We sent out links to some of our close friends who had businesses and had earlier indicated interest to create their business website with Fingertipps. We got 9 new signups in our first week of beta launch, with 2 paying customers 🎉(Yes, we celebrate the small wins too 😅). We’ve also been putting out lots of fires; in the words of my co-founder Raphael Ohai “fighting principalities and powers” 😭. Asides spending hours squashing bugs, he also had to battle a faulty laptop, and this put us off track for a couple of days. I also did a lot of one-on-one outreach to business owners in my circle, and the feedback has been impressive. One learning I took from this was: people loving your product ≠ willingness to pay. For some it’s a trust issue, for other, they need your product to check more boxes before they part ways with their money. Whatever reasons they give, we’ll keep working till we’ve addressed all their concerns. It’s been a week of highs and lows, can’t wait to get past this crawling stage 🤞🏽. We’re just getting started, and I’m excited for the journey ahead. Grateful to the team, our supporters, and the invaluable feedback 🧡.
