RCP will open its first international office in Vancouver, Canada, next month. Wellington Office Manager, Bevan Judge, will be the company's first Director of Canadian operations. Bevan will commute between Wellington and Vancouver over the next few months to spearhead the establishment of the office. RCP Managing Director Jeremy Hay is confident Canada was the right destination after evaluating several options, stating, "The international step was a logical one for us in terms of growth, and we identified Canada, particularly Vancouver, as an ideal fit due to its similarity in time zone, commercial and legal systems, property and infrastructure challenges, and socio-cultural dynamics." "There's immense potential for RCP's consultancy and leadership offering in this market, and we believe our expertise can add immediate value across various property and infrastructure sectors." RCP's Head of Advisory and Director, Cristean Monreal, expects that RCP's entry into the British Columbia market will help continue the flow of other New Zealand firms taking a similar leap, "We've watched other local consulting businesses establish themselves in Vancouver and successfully grow in North America, especially throughout the Pacific seaboard." "The Kiwi culture is a breath of fresh air in this market, and our approach is naturally based on managing commercial and delivery risk through effective team building and establishing solid relationships. We are not naive about the differences between the two environments, but we think there is a strong appetite to do something a bit different." When discussing specific opportunities, Cristean points to the similar challenges that the Canadian building and infrastructure market has to Aotearoa. "We know from our research trips and conversations with private and public sector clients that they are grappling with the same programming, commercial, and delivery constraints we have in New Zealand. They also have the same shortage of critical social and commercial infrastructure. So, we're not limiting our aspiration to just one or two key sectors; it's a multi-faceted opportunity for us." Cristean also believes there is potential to help Canadian organisations improve their engagement with native First Nations peoples and communities. "We've taken a highly proactive approach to cultural engagement at RCP and improved our capability to engage with iwi as clients and valuable partners in local projects. While we still have more to learn and understand about the First Nations people, we feel we have built a genuine foundation to add real and immediate value in this area." It is expected that the Vancouver office will be open and operational in April 2024. The Fire Dudes Llc W: www.thefiredudes.net Effective project management requires meticulous planning and organization to ensure successful project completion. Establishing clear deadlines is crucial, as they provide a structured timeline that guides the team and aligns efforts toward timely delivery. A well-defined scope of work is essential to outline the project's objectives, deliverables, and boundaries, ensuring that all stakeholders have a shared understanding of what needs to be accomplished. To manage the project efficiently, break down the scope into actionable steps and assign responsibilities accordingly. Each phase of the project should be meticulously planned, with milestones and deadlines set for completion. Regular progress assessments are vital to identify any deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions as needed. Utilize project management tools to track progress, allocate resources, and communicate effectively with the team. By following these structured steps and maintaining a focus on deadlines and scope, project managers can steer the project toward successful completion, ensuring that it meets all objectives and is delivered on time and within budget. Consistent monitoring and adaptation to emerging challenges will keep the project on track and facilitate a smooth path to its finalization. #franchising #businessdevelopment #thefiredudesllc #insuranceadjusters #restorationcontractors #firedamagesareanewbeggining #claimsadjuster #fieldadjuster #deskadjusters #insuranceclaims #vendors #certifiedfirm #ICRC #waterdamage #waterdamagerestoration #flooddamage #stormdamagespecialist #firedamage #hurricanedamagerestoration #moldrestoration #firedamageexperts #hurricaneprep #masterserviceagreement #HighTraffic #Innovation #Diversity #Sustainability #RemoteWork #Intrapreneurship #Technology #Career #TheFireDudesLLC #riskmanabement #propertymanagers #innovation #Innovation #Management #Digital #DigitalMarketing #Technology #Creativity #Futurism #starups #Marketing #SocialMediaNetWork #SocialMedia #BusinessDevelopment #Marketing #Advertising #WorldwideBusinessDevelopment #BusinessBusinessBusiness #NewMarketing #NewMarketingSystems #Spacex

Solution Strategist | Helping women of color entrepreneurs transition from doing everything to leading their dream team so they can scale their businesses beyond $250K without burnout. |🚀Ask about 1-on-1 Coaching
The first hire you make can multiply your success or divide your focus. Are you ready to make the right choice? Today's Hire to Scale tip is a game-changer, and it is the key to unlocking your next level of growth. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨: 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙧, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩. You've been the jack-of-all-trades in your business. You've handled client work, marketing, finances, and everything in between. However, to scale successfully, you need someone who can take the operational weight off your shoulders, allowing you to focus on high-level strategy and growth. Why a project manager? They're the secret sauce to multiplying your effectiveness without diluting your vision. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙥 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 1. 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆: Track your tasks for a week. 2. 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀: What processes are slowing you down? Where are things falling through the cracks? 3. 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: Create job descriptions for roles that will free you up for big-picture thinking. 4. 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Seek someone adaptable and eager to learn various aspects of your business. 5. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Your project manager will be the hub of your team, so strong communication is critical. 6. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺-𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: Look for candidates who can address issues on their feet. 7. 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹: This person will be your right hand, so ensure they align with your values and vision. Based on a real-life example: Meet Amara, a brilliant marketing consultant who built a $270k business. After tracking tasks while working a 60-hour week, she drowned in client management, invoicing, and coordinating with freelancers. The hiring priority was a Project Manager, and Amara hired Zoe. Zoe streamlined operations, improved client communication, and freed Amara to focus on high-level strategy and business development. Within a year, Amara's revenue doubled, and her work hours decreased by 25% (15 hours per week). The magic happened because Amara found someone who could orchestrate the day-to-day symphony of her business. Remember, scaling isn't just about doing more of what you already do. It's about creating systems and teams to amplify your vision beyond what you could achieve alone. What's the one operational task currently consuming most of your time? How would having a project manager handle this transform your ability to scale? Sharing your insight might inspire another entrepreneur to make their game-changing first hire! The Hire to Scale Blueprint is designed to guide you through this crucial decision and many more. Don't wait to build a solid foundation that will support your growth! How did you grow your service business? When I moved to Melbourne and started a design agency in 2014, I didn’t have a network, so built the client base from scratch. Nothing was off limits: BNI, knocking on doors, photographing company lists in foyers, and sending intros. Over time, we gained clients, turning initial wins into repeat business and word of mouth. After years of hard graft, we had a solid client base and exciting projects. Growing from nothing into a medium-sized agency is a massive achievement. In the early days, it’s all about the hustle: building revenue, attracting clients, and establishing a reputation. As the business grew and we landed bigger clients, the hustle became an operational challenge. The admin load was overwhelming as we wore many hats. To scale effectively, we needed to identify and address bottlenecks. Streamlining processes like managing client changes to project scopes and productising our services was crucial for smooth operations, as these were eating into our margins. What helped: Identified Bottlenecks: We regularly reviewed our operations to pinpoint and address where the business was losing time or revenue. Standardise Client Changes: We developed clear procedures for managing client changes to ensure out-of-scope work wasn't getting out of control. Created Detailed Scopes of Work: We created detailed scopes of work to ensure clarity and remove awkward conversations halfway through the project. Productised Our Services: We built a library of our services, making it easier to scope work. The price could change to match the effort required, but our team could use this to more efficiently scope future work, identify patterns and quote out-of-scope as optional services. Transitioning from the hustle to becoming a smooth operator is essential. Ensure your business can scale without you managing every detail. Tools like Scopey in your project ops can make this transition smoother. #Scale #ProjectOps #ClientManagement
