Ignorance is not bliss! It can be very expensive and misguided! https://lnkd.in/edgRrUcs It is shocking that there is so much ignorance out there when it comes to future heating. It is from the previous Government and perhaps the current government downwards and indeed the Welsh government that people believe the only way to move on from gas/oil is with heat pumps. That belief is absolutely wrong and misguided. The Housing Association the subject of the above article is only one of hundreds of such organisations who are unaware of the brilliance of infrared heating. They just do not do their homework. They spend huge amounts of money when it is totally unnecessary and unwarranted. This HA was calculating that it would cost a minimum of £25,000 to retrofit each of their 4,600 properties. How they got to that figure I do not know. We could provide brilliant infrared heating to retrofit each of their properties for an average of £1,500 for each property. Giving them a saving of over £100 million. All Retrofitters need to take note to save themselves lots of heartache and huge amounts of money. https://lnkd.in/eiKfDsGc

This is a perfect example of where accurate metering is critical on the customer side. How can a utility possibly account for where their water is going when there is so much guess work and discrepancies in billing?! Delivering water is a business and this business doesn’t understand where they are losing their product or how much. Wow! Preparing an LMO2 for the DNR must be a nightmare!
