Alzheimer Society of Durham Region’s Post

Sometimes the weight of caregiving can feel overwhelming, but remember, it's okay to seek and accept support from others. You don't have to go through this journey alone. Whether it's family, friends, support groups, or professional resources, reaching out for help is a powerful act of self-care. Here are some ways to start building a support system for yourself: 💙 Find out what services are available to help you manage daily tasks: respite programs, adult day programs, and meal delivery are just some of the services that might help. 💙 Create a list of tasks that family and friends can help you with and share with those that have offered to help. 💙 Reach out to learn more about our Support Groups and allow yourself the comfort of being with others with similar experiences. Taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for others. When you nurture your own well-being, you're better equipped to provide the best care possible. #Caregivers #Support #SelfCare #SelfCareMonth #YouAreNotAlone #DurhamRegionCareGivers #DurhamRegion
