Gemini faces 13-week phase-in before 90% reliability promise is tested: Clerc Gemini Cooperation, the new network from Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, has a 13-week period starting February 1 to establish itself before the companies must prove their promised 90% schedule reliability, Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc shared. This transition from the 2M Alliance for Maersk and THE Alliance for Hapag-Lloyd will require three months to fully stabilize, during which Clerc aims for Gemini to achieve high reliability without offering rate discounts. Gemini will operate a "hub-and-spoke" model, which could add transit time but is designed to boost on-time performance to 90%, despite current industry averages of 50–55%.
