As we continue celebrating #womenshistorymonth, at Iniskim Ammolite, we recognize #iwd2024 as a day to celebrate and continue the work throughout the year. How do we accomplish this? By continuing our efforts in 2023 and demonstrating support: During my visit to Malaysia in 2023, I had the privilege of meeting leaders from Women Of Will Malaysia (WOW), an inspiring NGO dedicated to empowering disadvantaged women through entrepreneurship. Women Of Will Malaysia not only helps women become entrepreneurs but also supports community development projects in both urban and rural areas of Malaysia. Looking ahead to 2024, we anticipate further discussions of collaboration with WOW, as their core values of inclusivity and diversity closely align with those of Iniskim Ammolite. If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that women possess an extraordinary ability to adapt to evolving circumstances. Though the global pandemic challenged both genders, studies show that women who were expected to balance life at home, work remotely, and have or do not have a family were impacted the most. In case you missed it here is a link to share my journey of navigating life as an entrepreneur and mother: https://lnkd.in/g6b3YBvj We believe in an equal voice for an equal future. As a female-led company, we proudly advocate for the global movement toward gender equality, ensuring women have the fair opportunities they deserve to succeed and excel in any endeavour. Let’s create an environment that is free from biases and celebrates women and their achievements, illuminating challenges and pushing for an equitable and inclusive world. From Iniskim Ammolite to women worldwide: we celebrate you 🥂

On Friday 8 March 2024, events around the world will mark International Women's Day- a global celebration of’ social, economic, cultural, and inspirational achievements of women throughout the world. First held over a century ago, IWD is also an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments made and acts taken to further the push towards gender equality. In honor of International Women's Day, we would like to take a moment to highlight and celebrate the extraordinary achievements made by Mrs. Rachadawan Kelar, our RWT Managing Partner As a pioneering voice of change, Rachadawan has helped RWT to become the first privately owned and operated Law Firm in Thailand to sign and adopt the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) initiated by the United Nations. Empowering Women: Celebrating International Women's Day (#IWD) Although every day can conceivably be International Women's Day, the event is historically celebrated on 8 March. This is the ideal time to reflect on women's remarkable achievements and contributions worldwide. This day serves as a reminder of our progress in advancing gender equality and the work that still lies ahead. My first introduction to IWD was at an #orphanage in Minsk, Belarus, when a young resident awarded me a hand-made emblem, a yellow paper flower, and a hug. I was deeply honored and overwhelmed by the excitement around IWD and the respect shown to women from all walks of life. Why celebrate? Women have profoundly shaped history and transformed societies from groundbreaking scientists and visionary leaders to dedicated caregivers and relentless activists. Their resilience, determination, and ingenuity continue to inspire future generations and drive progress across all sectors. It's a time to reinforce the need to empower women and girls everywhere. Let's create inclusive environments where every woman can thrive, pursue her dreams, and fulfill her potential. By championing gender equality in the workplace, promoting women's leadership and entrepreneurship, and investing in education and healthcare, we can create a brighter, more equitable future for everyone. What's next? Together, let's celebrate the achievements of women past, present, and future and work tirelessly to build a world where every woman is valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. Happy International Women's Day! #InternationalWomensDay #GenderEquality #Empowerment

As we commemorate International Women's Day today (March 8th, 2024), we celebrate the progress made towards gender equality while recognising the challenges that still lie ahead. A groundbreaking new report from the World Bank Group reveals that "the global gender gap for women in the workplace is far wider than previously thought" and regretfully, “no country provides equal opportunity for women - not even the wealthiest economies.” This latest report also highlights the need for supportive frameworks to accelerate progress toward gender equality, with Singapore ranking 64.2 (0-100) on the supportive frameworks score. "This is not just unfair - it’s wasteful. Increasing women's economic participation is the key to amplifying their voices and shaping decisions that affect them directly. Countries simply cannot afford to sideline half of their population.” notes Tea Trumbic, the report’s lead author. "Closing this gap could raise global gross domestic product by more than 20% – essentially doubling the global growth rate over the next decade," said Indermit Gill, Chief Economist of the World Bank Group and Senior Vice President for Development Economics. Yet, not enough is being done to ensure equal opportunities for women. The strive for gender equality is far from over and requires the collective efforts of individuals, communities, governments, and organisations worldwide. The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is "Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. It’s time for us to get involved in creating an environment where women have equal opportunities to thrive, lead, and succeed in every aspect of life. This women’s day, consider investing in yourself or in someone whom you feel deserves an opportunity to be accelerated in their professional journey. On a mission to find the most suitable board members, CEOs and C-suite executives with as little cognitive bias as possible and to be the trusted advisor to leaders on both how to lead as well as on how to build success
Wuh 🫨- what a week of diversity statistics and facts to dwell on and internalise. Last week, Impaktly revealed the Nordic Business Diversity leader board and the company names in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland, which have managed to attract and retain the highest number of diverse candidates to their boards and C-suites. A quick summary on those findings here: https://lnkd.in/dZRZmdz4 We revealed the Avant Advisors analysis on gender equality on Finnish stock-listed boards and discussed the issue of ”averages” vs ”actual female leaders” with the leading business journal Talouselämä together with Ville Kajala from Keskuskauppakamari (Finland Chamber of Commerce). Our most worrying conclusion is that female appointments to leadership teams do not seem to be in line with future board requirements. 2026 is here soon and if we are vigilant and pay attention to the upcoming legislative requirements, much change in people practices is in the horizon for many stock-listed companies in Finland. https://lnkd.in/dd_2BvAW Finally on Monday, European Women on Boards (EWOB) revealed their data and toolkit to improve gender balance in EU countries. In this work, they shared an illuminating comparison on how female non-executive board director appointments and C-suite appointments have developed over the years. In the enclosed image, you can see that while appointments to boards have taken a big step forward, appointments to the C-suite are an almost straight line for some countries and much to our disappointment, for Finland too. Full EWoB toolkit for change here: https://lnkd.in/dCNycFKD What a week indeed 🧐 and now to action: supporting companies in finding the diversity of competence that they need, in building the inclusive culture where these people can strive and in helping candidates find the awesome in themselves. So happy that this is the journey that we are on, so excited for the difference that we can make together with the inclusively leading companies in Finland! www.avantadvisors.fi #wecandothis #inclusionmatters #genderequality #diversityforbetterresults

International Women's Day 2024 marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing march for gender equality and women's rights. This year, the theme resonates deeply with the Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI). Recognising the crucial role of women in driving innovation and creativity across various fields, IASI emphasises the need to break down barriers and provide equal opportunities for women to participate fully in all processes. By celebrating the achievements of women and advocating for inclusive practices within the industry, the IASI aims to foster a future where women's voices are heard, valued, and integrated into the shaping of a more equitable and sustainable world. Organisations and groups can champion inclusivity for women and girls through various actions. These include promoting economic empowerment, fostering diversity in talent recruitment and development, and facilitating women's entry into leadership, and decision-making roles. Ensuring infrastructure caters to their needs and aiding informed health decisions are also vital. Involving them in sustainable agriculture, providing access to quality education, and boosting participation in sports are further avenues. Elevating their creative and artistic talents and addressing additional areas for their advancement are also crucial steps. By actively engaging in these initiatives, organisations and groups can inspire inclusion and ensure the needs, interests, and aspirations of women and girls are valued and integrated into the fabric of society. Here's to the Innovative women of the IASI who all those years ago in 1985 broke down barriers, set up and rolled out the IASI and set the tone for everyone following in their footsteps. Here's to more of of that same spirit, imitation, passion and innovation moving forward.

The UN International Women's Day asks us to take ACTION to invest in women accelerating progress. #investinwomen Did you know: 😮 A 2022 Deloitte study found only 0.7 per cent of all private start-up funding that financial year went to female founding teams, despite a tenfold increase in start-up funding over the previous five years. 💸 In 2023 Forbes reported that women-owned tech companies have a 35% higher return on investment than those started by men and that female-founded businesses outperformed male-founded companies by over 60%. 👏🏼 Critical evidence links improving gender equality to many key factors for economic growth, drawn from a huge literature on the links between gender and development objectives. 👀 Another study found similar patterns across Asia noting: "Women's entrepreneurship is key to economic stability...however, access to capital remains stubbornly low." 🙌🏽 When more women are empowered to lead, everyone benefits. Decades of studies show women leaders help increase productivity, enhance collaboration, inspire organisational dedication, and improve fairness. 🔥More than 42% of members associated with the Impact Club are women, with a large number of those actively investing in women-led businesses. 💥 How do we accelerate progress beyond a single bottom line? We need to invest in women. https://lnkd.in/dpEhsgx

Women's contributions, often made in the face of significant obstacles, are integral to the fabric of our communities and vital for the progress of humanity. Let us choose to challenge, uplift, and support one another, recognizing that together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable world for all. #InternationalWomensDay #inspireinclusion #GenderEquality #Empowerment
