I look forward to be speaking on the webinar: Doing Business in Europe, organised by the Department for Business and Trade and Greater Manchester Chamber, UK. I will be covering aspects that are relevant to the Scandinavian markets. This includes sectors of interest and how to best prepare for and execute a market expansion. While the UK and Scandinavia have a lot in common, there are some structural and cultural differences that needs to be considered. I hope to give some sound advice to UK companies with an interest in the markets up north. https://lnkd.in/dykjds5u

🚀 Inspiring, Unparalleled Growth in Trade between CEE and Switzerland 🚀 As the image illustrates, the remarkable trade development between Switzerland and the 17 CEE countries over the past decade has been nothing short of extraordinary. This dynamic growth has solidified the CEE region as Switzerland's export growth engine in Europe, and indeed globally. While exports to CEE have increased more than threefold in the last 10 years, those to Western Europe have seen little growth, and exports to Latin and Central America have stagnated. Exports to Asia, Africa, and Australia have even declined. Even exports to the US and China have "only" doubled in that period. Of course, the total value of exports to major markets like the US and China is much higher, but the success Swiss companies have had with our "neighboring" region CEE is still remarkable. This only describes half of the economic attractiveness of CEE for Switzerland. When considering the sourcing of services and industrial goods, investments, and the abundant talent pool, CEE is definitely a strategic option for many Swiss entrepreneurs to consider. And of course, Switzerland remains an attractive market for CEE companies. At our CEE Day 2024, the 25th anniversary of Chamber of Commerce Switzerland Central Europe (SEC), a great line-up of speakers will take a closer look at why this has been possible. 📈🌍 Program Highlights: - Economic Market Outlook with Daniel Kalt, CIO UBS Switzerland - Success Story Vision Apartments with Anja Graf, CEO Vision Apartments - Success Story Stadler Rail with Philipp Brunner, EVP Division Central Europe Stadler - S-GE Entrepreneur Panel moderated by Katalin Dreher, featuring: o Eugen Peterhans, CEO Howag o Daniel Hauri, Chairman Of The Board INSTA ELECTRIC FOCSANI, Romania o Marc Walder, CEO and Managing Partner Ringier - Success Story GF Casting Solutions with Paul Czaj, CFO GF Casting Solutions - Panel Discussion: "25 years of SEC - Past Successes and Future Opportunities" moderated by Oliver Bertschinger - Free speed consulting sessions for all CEE countries and Switzerland for entrepreneurs 🗣️💼 Registration and Further Information: 📅 Date: September 5, 2024 📍 Location: Zunfthaus zur Schmiden, Zurich 💼 Participation Fee: Members and Guests: 90 CHF, Non-Members: 150 CHF Reserve your tickets today at www.cee.swiss and join us together with Switzerland Global Enterprise and many Swiss CEE Chambers of Commerce at this jubilee event! #CEEDay2024 #InspiringSuccessStories #Switzerland #CEE #BusinessGrowth #Innovation
