Military and International Operations: USACE’s Founding Mission The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is an agency built to serve the U.S. military. Its original mandate – to protect and enable Soldiers of the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War – has evolved and expanded considerably since Col. Richard Gridley, the Army’s first chief engineer, ordered the construction of fortifications at Breed’s Hill, near Boston, in 1775. The range of expertise contained within USACE today – some of it literally found nowhere else in the world – remains focused on supporting the armed forces. USACE helps the U.S. military and its allies maintain readiness, ensure national and regional security, and respond to contingencies with either lethal or life-saving efficiency, as circumstances dictate. Student of Leadership and on a Journey, Founder of The Maximum Standard, Soldier, Proud Father and Husband
Brilliant team building and physical training at scale! 4th Infantry Divison out of Fort Carson, Colorado commemorated D-Day by hosting a PT session for all 12,000 troops! Over multiple obstacles of tank ditches, walls, mud, wire crawls, and more, units competed to finish first carrying water cans, stretchers, and other heavy items! This is an incredibly creative way to build teams, foster competition, improve fitness and resiliency, and increase moral. Most of all, this event will be talked about the rest of their lives. This kind of team building isn't limited to the military. With a little creativity, it can be applied to any organization -- with a great risk mitigation plan :) I challenge all of us to do this at our scale. I know I'm thinking of ways to pull it off!
“It happens here👇!” While some divisions are trying to keep a running pace, the Ivy Division is ready to take the beach. 12,000 Soldiers. 7 Obstacles. 1 Goal… Win! #SteadfastandLoyal #4thInfantryDivision #LethalTeams III Armored Corps U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) US Army
