Let’s bust a conference myth. ❌ Myth: "The idea of 'actionable takeaways' seems more like wishful thinking than reality." ✔️ Reality: You can take home game-changing insights that drive tangible results. 🧾 Proof: 🔍 "I learned that radiology uses about 7.5% of electrical consumption in a hospital, and that MRIs are most responsible for that consumption. Also learned that 1/3 of the consumption happens when the MRI is in the 'off-mode'. That will help make the business case for managing energy consumption of MRIs." — National Program Manager, Government Agency 🔍 "I learned some great new strategies to explain to C-suite the risks associated with deferred maintenance." — Facilities Operations Manager, Regional Health Care System Join ASHE at our Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference this July! #innovateHFM Attend and find out what your takeaway value will be >> https://ow.ly/J71v50Sc5S5

Health with Care also means sustainability, that is making the impact on the environment and people the main goal when we develop our solutions. 👩⚕️ This is what we have always done in MRI, where we were among the first to create an open system that took into account patients' claustrophobia issues. And It’s what we still do now, with the launch of a system capable of consuming only up to 2 kW when it works and that isn’t helium dependent. Thanks to Giacomo Pedretti, Global Downstream Marketing Manager - MRI, and to the entire team that contributed to this important achievement, capable of offering benefits for the planet and in the administrative management of medical activities. #healthcare #healthcareinnovation #healthinnovation #mri #healthwithcare #care #research #innovation

Roundtable No°2 | 2024 - Together for innovation: Participatory implementation for a digital healthcare system At the second Patient Monitoring Roundtable 2024, we have set ourselves a lot of goals under the promising motto "Together for innovation: Participatory implementation for a digital healthcare system". At a time when the digitalisation of the healthcare system is progressing rapidly, a particularly large number of committed participants came together this time to discuss new solutions through participatory implementation. In the first half, keynotes by special guest Sarah Weschke from the Berlin Institute of Health and Alessia Nowak and PD Dr Akira Poncette from Charité's Institute of Medical Informatics laid the foundation for an in-depth discussion. Specific challenges and opportunities of digitalisation in the healthcare sector were then discussed in small groups. The results offer a variety of insights, concerns and positive outlooks. Find the full blogpost on our website: https://lnkd.in/eMB2vpy6 _____________________________________________________________ The Patient Monitoring Roundtable is organized and conducted by INCH e.V. (Initiative for Innovation and Collaboration in Healthcare e.V.) in cooperation with the Institute for Medical Informatics of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. #digitalhealth #patientmonitoring #patientmonitoringroundtable

Read the latest Design Discoveries: https://loom.ly/nmb7KLk In the latest “Design Discoveries” column in July/August edition of Health Facilities Management magazine, The Center’s Research Associate Yolanda Keys shares three resources from our Knowledge Repository – a searchable, open-access database – that examine design features influencing circadian rhythm. Disrupted circadian rhythms (day-night cycles) can compromise the recovery of hospitalized patients. The featured research can be considered when evaluating design interventions to facilitate healthy circadian functions across patient populations. As the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE)'s new Strategic Education Collaborator and a PDC Summit Supporting Organization, The Center is pleased to extend to our community a free two-year digital subscription to HFM. Look for Center news, design research discoveries from our team, and in-depth features from The Center and our Environment Networks and research partners in each issue. Operating in a region of the U.S. where exceedingly high real estate costs constrain hospital expansion, Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford began evaluating sensor technology in 2019 as an innovative tool that could enable them to optimize space utilization and increase capacity within the confines of existing building footprints. The COVID-19 pandemic further escalated the need for space utilization solutions to address rapidly changing demands, including mandates for social-distancing, capacity limitation, and to support staff working remotely. In response, advances in sensor technology accelerated, producing a range of new space utilization solutions and options. Attend to hear presenters Dr. Lynn Aguilera, D.M., MSNEd, RN, PMP, EDAC, Jia Christianson and Kathryn Froncek share how they used proof-of-concepts to evaluate sensor technology and determine the best solutions, as well as best practices. The aim of healthcare is straightforward: to keep people healthy. Yet, paradoxically, the healthcare sector also carries a substantial environmental footprint, accounting for approximately 4.4% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Offering the ability to upgrade our medical imaging systems is one of our contributions to a more sustainable healthcare sector. Listen to Dr. Christopher Hess, Professor and Chair Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California San Francisco, who explains why upgradability of medical equipment is absolutely essential for prolonging product lifetime and conserving resources. He's one of the experts speaking in our latest #SiemensHealthineers Shape 24 Spotlight. Click here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/db-qvTaZ
