A Phathom-sponsored study was recently published in American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics’ journal CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology, diving further into the relationship between acid suppression and healing rates. The paper presents the largest dataset on gastric pH and erosive esophagitis treatment outcomes from multiple published studies, as well as the first published mathematical model-based simulation linking pH holding time to healing for potassium-competitive acid blockers (PCABs), proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and histamine H2-receptor antagonists (H2RAs). The model confirmed that PCABs provide superior and more consistent pH control, and higher erosive esophagitis healing rates, than PPIs and H2RAs. All conclusions are based on a mathematical model derived from multiple data points from various studies and are not the results of a clinical trial. Alhamdulillah.. I am delighted to share our new published collaborative work in journal of Pharmacology research and perspectives (PRP), British Pharmacological Society (𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫-𝟐.𝟗). 🌿 Our recent Research study entitled "𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐲𝐦𝐞-𝐐𝟏𝟎 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧-𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲" 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧". 🧬 Nephrotoxicity refers to the harmful effects on kidneys caused by exposure to toxins or certain medications, often leading to kidney failure. In this study, we used the nephrotoxic medication gentamicin to induce kidney damage. Solanesol (SNL), a compound derived from plants of the 𝑆𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑎𝑒 family, and an intermediate in synthesizing the powerful antioxidant CoQ10. 🧫 Key Findings - SNL exhibited strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, mitigating kidney damage. - Histopathological analyses confirmed the protective effects, showing notable restoration in kidney tissues. - By preserving mitochondrial function, SNL countered the adverse effects of gentamicin on the kidneys. https://lnkd.in/gFh4hMma My Special thanks to My Mentor 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. (𝐃𝐫.) 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐧 for providing me great opportunity to work in such collaborations. "New groups in dyslipidemia treatment" This is a brief table summary about the newest groups as lipid lowering agents, noting that there is another 3 groups under registration in US. In general, these groups considered more potent than statins in reducing LDL, and when combined with statins it give a significant decrease in LDL.
